Godly Knowledge is not for Bad People

"Once a caretaker of an elephant took it to the River side and gave it a nice bath for more than an hour. He applied loads of soap and scrubbed the whole body of elephant nicely with water. Caretaker was fully satisfied with the cleaning of the elephant. He took the elephant out of the water and was driving it home. The moment elephant reached the bank of the River, it too k with its trunk a large quantity of dust and dirt and smeared its whole body with it. The caretaker realized that all his effort has gone in waste. He took the elephant back to the forest and made it lift logs of wood. Caretaker extracted lots of work from the elephant. Whatever effort he put forth in this direction was not wasted at all! He realized that the elephant was fit only to do the hard work, and it was wiser to take work from the elephant than to waste time in bathing it."

In religious sense same is the case with people of bad nature. Bad people who are given to all kinds of vices are comparable to elephant in the story. The caretaker is a saintly soul. The saint tries to clean the bad habits of the vicious people with the soap of scriptural knowledge and bathes them with divine knowledge, divine songs like Japa, Kirtan, etc. But the moment he finds a chance, the bad, vicious person sprinkles the dust and dirt upon himself with his bad habits & bad karmas.

The saint understands the vicious man's nature. He puts him to hard work only & not imparts the divine knowledge to him. He extracts much useful work from him. The vicious man works like the elephant. Work eventually purifies the bad person.

Bhagwat Gita also says that we should not unnecessarily teach & preach the people of vicious nature:

"idam te natapaskaya
nabhaktaya kadachana
na chasusrusave vacyam

na cha mam yo ’bhyasuyati"(Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 67)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, This confidential divine knowledge should never be explained to those who are not pure, austere, or are not devoted to God, or are not engaged in devotional service, nor to one who is envious of God."

"ya idam paramam guhyam
mad-bhaktesv abhidhasyati
bhaktim mayi param kritva

mam evaishyaty asamsayah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 68)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, one who explains this supreme divine knowledge secret to the devotees of God, pure devotional service is guaranteed to that person, and at the end he will surely achieve the God."

So we should not unnecessarily teach & preach the people of bad nature who hate God. Such people cannot be changed of their bad nature as they are engrossed always in bad karmas & are always envious of God. We should let such people live in their own world. But if we shall impart divine knowledge to the people who are devoted to God then it shall be the real beneficial service to God. In this way God shall endow us with devotional energy through which we shall finally attain Him.

A Simple Prayer with Gayatri Mantra

All the religions of the world believe in one God. We all pray to God with different types of prayers. Prayer is basically an act of addressing the God for the purpose of worship. Prayer is a way of having a personal experience and intimate connection with our loving God, through which He listens silently to what we have in our mind.

In Hinduism there is a simple prayer in the form of Vedic hymn which is called "Gayatri Mantra". This Gayatri Mantra is a highly revered mantra in Hindu Religion. It is a sacred Hindu chant. It is widely used in meditation & listening to this chant brings peace of mind. As per Bhagwat Gita God is present in the form of WORD as "Gayatri Mantra". It consists of the prefix: oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ ॐ भूर्भुवस्वः, a mantra taken from the Yajurveda, and the verse 3.62.10 of the Rigveda. The Gayatri mantra is found in all the four Vedas in Hindu religion. The God invoked in this mantra is Savitr, and hence the mantra is also called Sāvitrī Mantra.

In Devanagari Lipi, it is:

ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः ।
तत् सवितुर्वरेण्यं ।
भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि ।
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥

AUM BHOOR BHUWAH SWAHA,
TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM
BHARGO DEVASAYA DHEEMAHI
DHIYO YO NAHA PRACHODAYAT.

Brief about the Gayatri Mantra:

Gayatri Mantra is the foremost mantra in Hindu religion and Hindu beliefs & it inspires wisdom. Its meaning is that "May the Almighty God illuminate our intellect to lead us along the righteous path". The mantra is also a prayer to the "giver of light and life" - the sun.

Oh God! Thou art the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,
The Bestower of happiness,
Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive thy supreme sin-destroying light,
May Thou guide our intellect in the right direction.

How to worship Gayatri Mantra:

The mother Gayatri lives in the Gayatri loka which is a planet like our earth though not visible through any scientific instruments available to date on our earth.Then how can we reach towards our divine mother? Our ancient saint, rishi vishvamitra found a simple method to reach towards our divine mother and get her blessings through Gayatri Mantra.The mantra asks wisdom from mother which is a necessity in today's stress full life. So just chant this Mantra & God shall bless you.

In Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 35, Lord Krishna himself declares that he himself is there present if someone chants Gayatri Mantra as it is the king of all the Mantras & God himself resides in this mantra.

"brihat-sama tatha samnam
gayatri chandasam aham
masanam marga-sirso ’ham
rtunam kusumakarah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 35)

"Sri Krishna said: Of the hymns in the Sama Veda I am the Brihat-sama, and of all the mantras, I am the Gayatri Mantra. Of months I am Margasirsa [November-December], and of seasons I am flower-bearing spring."

So let's daily do the worship of God by chanting this Gayatri Mantra. By chanting this "Divine Vedic Mantra" we shall get peace of mind. So let's make it a practice to invoke the God daily through this simple prayer of Gayatri Mantra. By doing so God shall be happy with us & shall bless us always through His mercy & compassion.

Spiritualize Your Life

Today's life is so, that everyone feels to be very busy in this hectic day to day life. We all are very busy at our work place & in our home life also. In this busy life, we face lot of tensions & our mind is full of stress all the time. We forget about the true happiness in life & how it can be attained. For us earning lot's of money in life & enjoying it, is the mantra that can give us happiness in life. In our life we either run after money or we try to make our near & dear one's happy in life. Money & material things may give us joy at present but when these material things are not in our life, due to one reason or the other, much pain comes in our life. Same is the case with human relations. Till the time these relations are with you, they may give you joy for the time being. But in the absence of these relations our mind feels pain & sorrow.

We all know that we have come to this world alone & shall leave this world alone only. Whatever things we acquire or whatever relations we make on this world stage is only in between your birth & death. Some day, these things or relations shall leave you within this lifetime or ultimately you have to leave all these in the end. Any infatuation to material things or relations is going to give you pain only, whenever, separation shall occur from these one day. All material things & human relations are imperfect & any imperfect thing cannot give PERFECT love or joy to you. Unless you find a perfect & permanent thing in life, you shall not be able to find perfect love in life.

So, What is the real truth of life? It is to evolve and manifest the Spiritual principles within ourselves. We need to search the truth, the truth about ourself, our soul, which is a part of that Super Soul called God. We need to seek God who is the Divinity concealed behind different forms of life. We need to see the external world as God. We need to see & worship the sacred, Divine Presence that sanctifies all places and all objects in this world. It is the Divine Spirit that pervades all places around us, we need to feel it's presence around us. We need to see the Lord of the Universe, the hidden God, who pervades His own creation, all around us. This is that we need to Spiritualize our life.

To Spiritualize our life, we need to fill our thoughts & sentiments, every single word and deed of ours with an attitude of intense reverence, devotion, and worshipfulness to that Divine Spirit called God who pervades all the space & is all around us. Let all of our life be pervaded by that Spiritual emotion. Let's live in the awareness of that Divinity all around us. Behold light of God shining all around us & everywhere. Divine Being looks at you through all eyes. Let's feel this truth that all life is spiritual. So Let's endeavour to spiritualize our life. This is the key to devotion & blessedness.

As per Bhagwat Gita:

"ye tu dharmamritam idam
yathoktam paryupasate
sraddadhana mat-parama
bhaktas te ’tiva me priyah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Twelve verse 20)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: O Arjuna, Those who follow this imperishable path of spiritual & devotional service and who completely engage themselves with faith, making Me the supreme goal, are very, very dear to Me."

Bhagwat Gita also teaches us that "we should know ourself to be that immortal soul". Once you are able to do that then we shall feel our SELF to be part & parcel of that Universal Self (GOD) who is infinite love & is pervading all around us. We are a spark of that Universal Soul, who is the source of infinite love. Once we are able to know that, our life too shall be full of love & blessedness.

Bráhman, Big Bang & the Creation of the Universe

Scientists all over the world are trying to resolve the mystery of the origin of the universe. Most prominent theory of the origin of the universe is the "Big Bang" theory. But all such theories state that all this universe is matter only which exploded with a "Big Bang" & is always expanding.

In Hinduism also origin of the universe is told but there is some difference than the "Big Bang" theory. As per Hinduism, God or Brahman (ब्रह्मन् bráhman) is the one supreme, universal Spirit that is the origin of this universe. In that aspect God or Brahman is also referred to as the Absolute or Godhead which is the Divine Ground of all Creation.

As per Hinduism God created this universe out of "Zero" or nothing. Sometimes God himself in the un-manifest aspect is called "Zero" & Vedas tell us that "In the beginning was "Zero" or nothing & out of un-manifest aspect of God, came everything." Before the universe came into being, God in His un-manifest aspect was there & then He willed to create this universe. That "Zero" substance to which our Vedas call "God" is the source of Consciousness as well as Un-Conscious matter. He is also the source of Mind & Intellect. From this un-manifest aspect of God, on His will, He created this universe.

It is due to the WILL of GOD that whole creation takes place out of "un-manifest aspect" of God. God in His un-manifest aspect just willed & hence the energies required to form this universe sprang out of "Brahman (ब्रह्मन् bráhman)". "Big Bang" was started with the Will of God & also guided by His Super Intelligence. By just God's willing, Material Energies came into being which in turn created this vast infinite Space & later on out of Space came out the Air, Fire, Water & Earth. Unless until we consider & have faith in God with all His powers & His super Intelligence, we cannot appreciate the reality & truth about "Big Bang".

Below in simple words is defined Brahman (ब्रह्मन् bráhman):

God is called Bráhman,
Whole world dwells in Bráhman,
Whole world comes from Bráhman,
Whole world goes back in Bráhman,
Whole world breathes in Bráhman,
Let's worship that Bráhman, the God.

As per Vedas, Brahman is of the nature of truth, knowledge and infinity. Brahman is the source and ground of all things.

Below are some verses from Bhagwat Gita which describe the Brahman (ब्रह्मन् bráhman):

"prakritim svam avastabhya
visrijami punah punah
bhuta-gramam imam krtsnam
avasam prakriter vasat" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 8)

"Sri Krishna said: The whole cosmic order is under Me. Under My will it is automatically manifested again and again, and under My will it is annihilated at the end."

"maya tatam idam sarvam
jagad avyakta-murtina
mat-sthani sarva-bhutani
na chaham tesv avasthitah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 4)

"Sri Krishna said: By Me, in My unmanifested form, this entire universe is pervaded. All beings are in Me, but I am not in them."

"athakasa-sthito nityam
vayuh sarvatra-go mahan
tatha sarvani bhutani
mat-sthanity upadharaya" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 6)

"Sri Krishna said: Understand that as the mighty wind, blowing everywhere, rests always in the sky, all created beings rest in Me."

"yac chapi sarva-bhutanam
bijam tad aham arjuna
na tad asti vina yat syan
maya bhutam characharam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 39)

"Sri Krishna said: Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being—moving or nonmoving—that can exist without Me."

So let's have faith in the God who is also called Brahman (ब्रह्मन् bráhman), who in essence is of the nature of truth, knowledge and infinity & who is the source and ground of all things. Unless we know that God who created this universe out of His will & guided by His Super Intelligence, we in truth cannot understand the truth about "Big Bang".

Have Faith

What is faith? Faith is mind power of yours that you can achieve a particular goal in life. Faith is also the staunch belief in some other person, some other supernatural power in life. Faith is strength of mind. Faith is abundant energy that your mind generates. If you have faith in yourself then you can achieve anything in life. Just like a stone may remain in water for numberless years; yet the water will never penetrate into it. But clay is soon soaked into mud by the contact of water. So the strong heart of the faithful does not despair in the midst of trials and persecutions, but the man of weak faith is shaken even by the most trifling cause. So be firm in your faith towards the goal you want to achieve in your life, then no power of world can stop you from achieving it.

The other aspect of faith is having strong belief in some supernatural power (God) in life & having the belief that you shall always be protected by that supernatural power called God. For an individual being God exists just because of that person's "Faith". If you have "Faith" in God then God has some meaning in your life, otherwise not. If you have Faith in God, then only you can know more of Him, otherwise your journey towards God just stops there. Faith in God elevates an individual's thinking process & it purifies the heart, emotions & soul and leads one to the vision of God.

Faith is the soul of every religion. It creates new hopes and awakens in one the presence of God. Faith is the eye that sees the Lord and the hand that clings to Him. Faith is power. Faith is strength. Faith is abundant energy. He who has faith in God is strong. He who doubts about God is weak. Strong faith in God precedes great actions. Faith illumines the spiritual path, builds a bridge across the gulf of death, and takes one to the other shore of fearlessness and deathlessness. Faith is the one which makes our perceptions & beliefs. If you have Faith & believe in religious scriptures, words of a saint, then you shall be able to turn toward the God.

Below are few verses of Bhagwat Gita on Faith:

"asraddadhanah purusha
dharmasyasya parantapa
aprapya mam nivartante
mrityu-samsara-vartmani" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 3)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: Those who are not Faithful in this devotional service, cannot attain Me, O Arjuna. Therefore they return to the path of birth and death in this material world."

"shraddhaval labhate jnanam
tat-parah samyatendriyah
jnanam labdhva param shantim
acirenadhigacchati" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Four verse 39)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: A faithful man who is dedicated to transcendental knowledge and who subdues his senses is eligible to achieve such knowledge, and having achieved it he quickly attains the God & spiritual peace."

"sri-bhagavan uvacha
mayy avesya mano ye mam
nitya-yukta upasate
shraddhaya parayopetas
te me yuktatama matah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Twelve verse 2)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: O Arjuna, Those who fix their minds on My personal form and are always engaged in worshiping Me with great and transcendental faith are considered by Me to be most perfect."

So just have Faith in yourself & in the words of the God. It's the Faith in yourself & God which makes our perceptions & beliefs. If you have Faith in words of the Lord Krishna, then you shall be able to turn toward the God. It's Faith in God only which determines how you can mould your life. So just have Faith in the words of Lord Krishna & His teaching in Bhagwat Gita. Let's all pray to Lord Krishna who is supreme, divine & all powerful God. In this way God shall deliver us from all the miseries of life & shall protect us always in life.

Think Yourself to be the Immortal Soul

Once, a Lion's cub was raised among the lambs from the start of his birth. That Lion's cub when grew up, always thought himself to be a lamb only. Many times, that Lion was told about his true nature that he is the king among the animals but he always thought himself to be a lamb only. So, that Lion was an ignorant one, as he believed himself to be
someone different than his true self.

Similar to the above, is our situation as we are not able to see the true nature of our self (Soul nature) & the nature of this world. We always see our self to be this body but one day this body of ours shall perish. We don't believe that we are that Immortal Soul. But we are born again & again after death, as our Soul can never ever die. Our inner eye or intellect is covered with the dust of ignorance & we don't see things as it is. Our intelligence is covered with ignorance, just like a mirror is covered by the dust & we are not able to see our face properly in it.

We all need to introspect & see where our thinking is right in understanding of our self. Let's not cover our mind & intellect with a veil of ignorance but try to see things in right perspective. Below verse of Bhagwat Gita tells about how our mind & intellect is covered with the veil of ignorance. Let's clear this veil with the knowledge of the self (Soul) & see properly. Then you shall be able to see that you are that immortal Soul which is part & parcel of the Universal Soul (God). When you shall be firm in faith that you are that Immortal Soul, then death shall cease to exist for you as death is of a body & not yourself who is an Immortal Soul.

"dhumenavriyate vahnir
yathadarso malena cha
yatholbenavrto garbhas
tatha tenedam avrtam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Three verse 38)

"Sri Krishna said: As fire is covered by smoke, as a mirror is covered by dust, or as the embryo is covered by the womb, so the knowledge of living entity is similarly covered by different degrees of ignorance (desire)."

"na jayate mriyate va kadacin
nayam bhutva bhavita va na bhuyah
ajo nityah sasvato ’yam purano
na hanyate hanyamane sarire" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 20)

"Sri Krishna said: The soul is never born nor dies at any time. Soul has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. Soul is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. Soul is not slain when the body is slain."

Just like alighting a small lamp eats away all the darkness in the room, so just by illumining your intellect with the knowledge, leads one to the true nature of yourself which is your Soul nature. So always think yourself to be that immortal, all powerful Soul.

We Should Not Beg GOD For Rewards

All the people who have faith in God do prayers to God or do the religious rituals in the name of God. In Hinduism there are many God’s and Goddesses to whom people do prayers or do rituals in their names. There are many ritual systems associated with Hindu Gods & deities. In Hinduism there is concept of “Tridev” (Three Gods namely Bramha, Vishnu and Mahesh) who are the primary deities of Hinduism. Other than that there are many other Gods & deities to whom people worship for the fulfillment of their desires.

People generally worship these Gods so that they can get their blessings and rewards for their worship. This worship to Gods is for the fulfillment of their desires, rise in status and position, for health, wealth, for their wants, freedom from sufferings, for getting off-springs, for marriage and other desires.

However, this type of worship done by those people is not proper and their fruits are limited and temporary because it is done for the material rewards. Lord Krishna in Shrimad Bhagwat Gita says as follows:-

"antavat tu phalam tesam
tad bhavaty alpa-medhasam
devan deva-yajo yanti
mad-bhakta yanti mam api" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Seven verse 23)

"Sri Krishna said: Men of small intelligence worship the demigods, and their fruits are limited and temporary. Those who worship the demigods go to the planets of the demigods, but My devotees ultimately reach My supreme planet."

But as per Lord Krishna in Shrimad Bhagwat Gita one should not ask for all these material desires from the Gods but should be devoted to Supreme God (Lord Krishna) only as then God shall not only give everything but shall also protect, whatever, a person is already having. Not only that, in the end Lord Krishna shall give salvation (Nirvana, Mukti, Moksha) to that person.

The essence is that, whatever you want, material or spiritual, you can get it from God by becoming His devotee. God Himself declares in "Bhagwat Gita"

"ananyas cintayanto mam
ye janah paryupasate
tesham nityabhiyuktanam
yoga-ksemam vahamy aham" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 22)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: But those who always worship Me with exclusive devotion, meditating on My transcendental form—to them I carry what they lack, and I preserve what they have."

Soul Survives The Body

We all see our self in the mirror & think our self to be this body. We daily feed this body of ours with different types of food & decorate it with designer clothes, perfumes etc. so that this body of ours can look good to others.We all also know that this body of ours shall perish or die in the some point of time in future. But is there life after death? Can we survive after death also? Are we different from this body & shall we survive death? Yes, as per 'Bhagwat Gita', it's so. As per 'Bhagwat Gita', we in essence are different than this body & we in essence are that indestructible 'Soul' & this 'Soul' is there in our body even when we are living right now.

As per 'Bhagwat Gita -Chapter Two Verse - 18',

"antavanta ime deha
nityasyoktah saririnah
anasino ’prameyasya
tasmad yudhyasva bharata" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 18)

"Sri Krishna says: All these bodies pertaining to the indestructible, immeasurable and eternal living entity / Soul are spoken of as perishable; therefore, considering this Soul as indestructible, you should fight, Arjuna."

As per 'Bhagwat Gita -Chapter Two Verse - 22',

"vasamsi jirnani yatha vihaya
navani grhnati naro ’parani
tatha sarirani vihaya jirnany
anyani samyati navani dehi" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 22)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: As a human being puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones."

Our body is like our clothes that we wear on our body & after death these worn out clothes are dropped by the embodied soul . You in essence are a 'Soul' & this 'Soul' of yours shall wear another body ( read, shall wear another pair of clothes) after death. So this eternal Soul which is indestructible, changes its present embodied form for another embodied form, when the physical body perishes.

As per 'Bhagwat Gita-Chapter Two Verse - 20',

"na jayate mriyate va kadacin
nayam bhutva bhavita va na bhuyah
ajo nityah sasvato ’yam purano
na hanyate hanyamane sarire" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 20)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: The soul is never born nor dies at any time. Soul has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. Soul is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. Soul is not slain when the body is slain."

Eternal Soul was there always & was there even before this 'World creation'. This Soul is never born nor does it die ever. It is an indestructible substance. So if we have a firm belief that we are that eternal Soul which never dies then we shall also feel to be someone beyond this body & fear of death shall go away from our mind as then we shall know that we have life even after the death. Yes, we all are that immortal Soul & shall never die. Have firm faith in these words & all your fears of death shall go away in thin air.

Best Purifier of all Sins - Devotion to God

Sins are the bad karmas that we do which are forbidden by the religious scriptures. Otherwise, sins are in general bad actions that we should not do. But in our life, we knowingly or unknowingly, sometimes commit the sin. In scriptures there are many ways told such as penance, charity etc, through which atonement to such sins can be attained. But there is no way more swift, fast for atonement to sins than the Devotional service to God.

In this regard Bhagwat Puran & Bhagwat Gita, both explain about these assurances in detail that Devotion to God is the supreme purifier for all the sins that a person commits in life time. Below are few verses from Bhagwat Puran regarding this:

"In this world devotion & surrender to God is the path that is really appropriate & the one that is to be followed by the well-behaved, fearless and auspicious, saintly people."

 "Like all the rivers of the world cannot purify a liquor jar by washing it, similarly Most of the atonement well performed by a nondevotee will not purify. We need to be a devotee of God."

 "Once the mind is full of surrender to the two lotus feet of Lord Krishna & the mind hankers after His qualities only then that person shall never encounter Yamarâja (Death God) and his superintendents, or even in one's dreams meet his servants carrying the ropes to bind. Devotion to Lord Krishna is the right atonement."

 "Like the Sun does away with all the fog, similarly Devotion to God does away with all the sins. A man full of sin, is for certain not as much purified by penance as by the devotion to Lord Krishna."

In Bhagwat Gita also God himself is giving that assurance:

'Api chet su-duracharo
bhajate maam ananya-bhak
sadhurev sa mantavya
samyag vyvasito hi sah' (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter IX verse 30)

'Even if the vilest sinner worships Me with full devotion, he should be considered a noble soul or saint; as he has taken the right step by worshipping me.'

Through above verse, God is telling Arjuna that even if the most sinful of person worships Him with full devotion, then He considers him to be a saint only as he has rightly resolved in his life. So many times we too think that we have done many sins in our life & how God shall accept us, but here God makes it very clear that once a person becomes devoted to Him, He does not consider that person to be a sinner, rather God considers that person to be a Saint as he has taken the right decision in his life to become devoted to God. Let's all be devotees of God.

"sarva-dharman parityajya
mam ekam saranam vraja
aham tvam sarva-papebhyo
mokshayisyami ma suchah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 66)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall purify you from all the sins. Do not fear."

'man-mna bhav mad-bhakto
madhyaji maam namaskuru
maam-evaishyasi yuktvaivam
atmanam mat-parayanah' (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 34)

'Fix your mind on Me, be devoted to me, worship Me & offer obeisance's to Me. In this way, linking to Me, you shall surely come to Me.'

Through above verse, God is asking Arjuna to fix his mind on God as after worshipping Him & paying obeisance's to God, he shall automatically come to Him. We should also follow the same path & let's become devoted to God by praying Him daily. God is very clear that once a person comes in God's refuge, then all his problems & sins are resolved & God becomes his/her protector in this life & life beyond.

So from the above said verses it is very clear that to get rid of all the sins is to take refuge in God through "Devotion". In Bhagwat Gita, God assures his disciple Arjuna in many ways & asks him to take refuge in Him & says that He shall emancipate him of the sin in all ways, shall rescue him in his life always. Many times we think that we have done many sins in life & how God shall accept us, but God makes it very clear in Bhagwat Gita that once a person become devoted to Him, He does not consider that person a sinner, rather God considers that person to be a Saint as he has taken the right decision in his life to become devoted to God.So let's all be devotees of God.

Love Him, hate Him but don’t ignore Him

In Hindu philosophy it is the ultimate goal of a person to attain the God. For that ascetics do penances & devotees perform rituals in the name of God so that they can come closer to God & finally attain Him. To attain God the easiest way is to have love & devotion to Lord Krishna. Meaning of the name of Krishna is the one who attracts a soul easily & puts that person to His devotion. Krishna is all attractive, that's why He attracts the soul of a person.

Now, it is not only the emotion of love & devotion towards the God by which you can attain Him. As per Bhagwat puran if you are having any emotion, even that of hate towards the God then also you can attain Him. Therefore, whether one's emotions are of constant enmity towards God, of devotion, of fear, of affection or of love towards the God, one is certainly going to attain Him. By having the emotions of love, hatred, fear, affection and devotion towards the God & having the mind absorbed in the Supreme Lord many have given up the sin and thus attained the path of liberation. The gopîs with their love desires towards Lord Krishna, King Kamsa out of fear, S'is'upâla and others out of hatred towards Lord Krishna, many Kings out of kinship, Krishna's family out of affection and many through bhakti have attained the God. So one should fix one's mind on Lord Krishna in any of these ways & he shall attain Him.

In Bhagwat Gita also God himself is giving that assurance:

"man-mana bhava mad-bhakto
mad-yaji mam namaskuru
mam evaishyasi satyam te
pratijane priyo ’si me" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 65)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, "Be aware of me always, adore me, make every act an offering to me, and you shall come to me; this I (Krishna) promise, for you are dear to me."

"sarva-dharman parityajya

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, "Abandon all supports and look to me for protection. I shall purify you from the sins of the past; you do not grieve."

"So let's always pray to Lord Krishna & let's always engage our mind in devotional service of Him. Let's love the God like "Gopis of Vrindavan" loved Him. If you shall love God a little bit then He shall love you ten folds, as God is hungry of love & devotion only. Other than that let's read religious texts, scriptures & literature regarding the Lord Krishna. Let's always sing His glories so that He can always be merciful on us. If we shall do such devotional service to God then we shall get special mercy of Lord Krishna & we shall be purified of all the sins in our life.

Ticket to Heaven is always a 'Returnable Ticket'

If a person goes to a country on "Temporary Visa" then that person can stay for a certain limited period only into that country. After the expiry of the visa that person has to return back, otherwise that person is deported back & the stay of that person in that country is considered illegal.

As per the hindu religion, when a person does the good & bad karmas in life then as a result, that person goes to heaven (heavenly planet of Indra) or hell to enjoy the fruits of those karmas over there. But the period of stay in this heaven or hell is determined by the quantity & quality of good & bad karmas done in one's life. After enjoying the good or bad results of the karmas in the heaven or hell, one has to return back to this earth to take birth again. On this earth a person again does good & bad karmas in life & again goes to heaven or hell to enjoy the fruits of those karmas & again returns back to this earth after enjoying those good & bad fruits over there. In this way this perpetual cycle of birth & death goes on for that person. It is very clear that there is no permanent stay in the heaven & it's temporary only. One can live over there just for the time which is determined by his good karmas done on this earth.

The above said perpetual cycle of birth & death goes on for a normal person who has not understood & have faith in God. As per Bhagwat Gita beyond this heaven is the abode of God where life is permanent. Once a person gets permission to live in that Godly abode then that person need not come back to this earth to suffer pain & sorrow in life i.e. one does not have to take rebirth again on this earth. Once God allows a person to stay in His abode then that person is relieved of the cycle of birth & death. That person living in God's abode achieves immortality & permanent bliss. Below are few verses of Bhagwat Gita which explain that only.

"trai-vidya mam soma-pah puta-papa
yajnair istva svar-gatim prarthayante
te punyam asadya surendra-lokam
asnanti divyan divi deva-bhogan" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 20)

"Lord Sri Krishna said: Those who study the Vedas and drink the soma juice, seeking the heavenly planets, worship Me indirectly. Purified of sinful reactions, they take birth on the pious, heavenly planet of Indra, where they enjoy godly delights."

"te tam bhuktva svarga-lokam visalam
ksine punye martya-lokam vishanti
evam trayi-dharmam anuprapanna
gatagatam kama-kama labhante" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 21)

"Lord Sri Krishna said: When they have thus enjoyed vast heavenly sense pleasures and the results of their pious activities are exhausted, they return to this mortal planet (earth) again. Thus those who seek sense enjoyments by adhering to the principles of the three Vedas achieve only repeated birth and death."

"yanti deva-vrata devan
pitrn yanti pitr-vratah
bhutani yanti bhutejya
yanti mad-yajino ’pi mam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 25)

"Lord Sri Krishna said: Those who worship the demigods will take birth among the demigods; those who worship the ancestors go to the ancestors; those who worship ghosts and spirits will take birth among such beings; and those who worship Me (Lord Sri Krishna) will live with Me."

"yat karosi yad asnasi
yaj juhosi dadasi yat
yat tapasyasi kaunteya
tat kurusva mad-arpanam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 27)

"Lord Sri Krishna said: Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform—do that, O Arjuna, as an offering to Me (Lord Sri Krishna)."


"subhasubha-phalair evam
moksyase karma-bandhanaih
sannyasa-yoga-yuktatma
vimukto mam upaisyasi" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 28)

"Lord Sri Krishna said: In this way you will be freed from bondage to work (karmas) and its auspicious and inauspicious results. With your mind fixed on Me (Lord Sri Krishna) in this principle of renunciation, you will be liberated and come to Me."

So Let's pray to God (Lord Sri Krishna) always in life so that we can go to God's abode than going to heaven as we shall need to take rebirth after going to heaven while we shall get permanent life in God's abode. Let's pray to God always so that He can bless us in this & after this life. Loving & praying to God only can save us from the cycles of birth & death & from all types of miseries in life.

Don't Judge the God Vaguely

"Once a person came to a city & asked another person standing at the crossroads: "Sir, Can you let me know the house of Mr. Sharma?" "That person pointed in front & said, look at that house, in front of which a Cow is standing. That is the house of Mr. Sharma," The first person went away. He returned after a few days and was bewildered to find that now no Cow was standing in front of the house. He again asked a person: "Pl. tell me which is the house of Mr. Sharma?" That person replied: "See that house with number 23, which is yellow in color, is two story's built & which is built in marble stone - that is Mr. Sharma's house." Since that time he never had any confusion & never forgot the house of Mr. Sharma."

Similarly the great ancient scriptures speak of God as the Supreme Origin of the universe. But this is not enough. For, there are times when there is no creation at all but God still exists. Hence this is not a one line definition of God. So we cannot define the God vaguely that God is such & such. God is having infinite qualities which cannot be described in a few lines. That's the reason that some look on the God as amazing, some describe Him as amazing, and some hear of God as amazing, while others, even after hearing about Him, cannot understand Him at all.

Bhagwat Gita describes the God as unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. God is never born nor dies at any time. God is manifest & un-manifest both i.e. He is there before the creation & also present during the creation. He is omniscient (knows everything), omnipresent (who is present everywhere), omnipotent (who is having all the powers & is all powerful), imperishable & indestructible. He is invisible, inconceivable and immutable. He is having supernatural powers. He is Truth Absolute, Knowledge Absolute and is Infinite. He is everlasting, present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same. So here are some of the qualities of God described.

Below are few verses of Bhagwat Gita which describe these qualities of God.

"maya tatam idam sarvam
jagad avyakta-murtina
mat-sthani sarva-bhutani
na chaham tesv avasthitah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 4)

"Sri Krishna said: By Me, in My un-manifested form, this entire universe is pervaded. All beings are in Me, but I am not in them."

"avyaktadini bhutani
vyakta-madhyani bharata
avyakta-nidhanany eva
tatra ka paridevana" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 28)

"Sri Krishna said: All created beings are un-manifest in their beginning, manifest in their interim state, and un-manifest again when annihilated. So what need is there for lamentation?"

"athakasa-sthito nityam
vayuh sarvatra-go mahan
tatha sarvani bhutani
mat-sthanity upadharaya" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 6)

 "Sri Krishna said: Understand that just as the mighty wind, blowing everywhere, rests always in the sky, so do all created beings rest in Me (Universal Soul)."

So above are described few qualities of God as told in Bhagwat Gita. Yet these are few only while God is having Infinite in nature & Infinite in qualities. So let's bow to & pray to such an Infinite God.

Defeatism & Victory in Life

How many times in your life you have felt yourself depressed, de-motivated & dejected? How many times you have felt yourself defeated in life? If one feels like a defeated person in life then the battle of life is lost for that person. So we should not let our mind delve into the state of depression, de-motivation & dejection. We should never let our mind feel defeated as then there is no positive meaning of life. You can never succeed & be victorious in life if you feel yourself defeated at mind.

In the ancient Kurukshetra war, "Arjuna" the great disciple of "Lord Sri Krishna" also came into such a de-motivated & dejected state of mind. In that war "Arjuna" refused to do his duty of fighting a righteous battle as he got infatuated & started thinking of his enemies as his own near & dear ones. His mind became week & highly de-motivated. He told his master "Lord Sri Krishna" that he is going away from the war & do not want to fight on the battle field. Arjuna's mental health became weak & he got deeply depressed. To overcome his disciple Arjuna's depression & to motivate him to fight a righteous war, "Lord Sri Krishna" gave the great teachings of "Bhagwat Gita" to his disciple "Arjuna". After listening to all these great teachings, Arjuna's mental health became well & he became motivated & energetic to fight the war. Below are verses of Bhagwat Gita which shows how Arjuna became de-motivated & how he refused to do his duty of fighting a righteous war.

"tatrapasyat sthitan parthah
pitrn atha pitamahan
acharyan matulan bhratrn
putran pautran sakhims tatha
svasuran suhridas chaiva
senayor ubhayor api" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter One verse 26)

"Now Arjuna saw stationed there in the midst of the both armies, his fathers, grandfathers, teachers, maternal uncles, brothers, sons, grandsons, friends, and his fathers-in-law and well-wishers as well."

"tan samiksya sa kaunteyah
sarvan bandhun avasthitan
kripaya parayavisto
visidann idam abravit" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter One verse 27)

"Seeing all these relations present there, the son of Kunti, Arjuna was overwhelmed with extreme compassion and spoke these words in sadness."

"arjuna uvacha
drstvemam sva-janam krishna
yuyutsum samupasthitam
sidanti mama gatrani
mukham cha parisusyati" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter One verse 28)

"Arjuna said: Krishna, at the sight of these friends and relatives present before me in such a fighting spirit, my limbs give away, my body quivering and my mouth is parched."

"vepathus cha sarire me
roma-harsas cha jayate
gandivam sramsate hastat
tvak chaiva paridahyate" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter One verse 29)

"My complete body shakes & my hair stands on end. The bow Gandiva is slipping from my hand, and my skin is burning."

"na cha saknomy avasthatum
bhramativa cha me manah
nimittani cha pasyami
viparitani keshava" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter One verse 30)

"My mind is reeling & I am now unable able to stand here any longer. I see the omens also inauspicious; only causes of misfortune, O Krishna, killer of the Keshi demon."

"sanjaya uvacha
evam uktvarjunah sankhye
rathopastha upavisat
visrjya sa-saram chapam
soka-samvigna-manasah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter One verse 46)

"Sanjaya said: Arjuna, having thus spoken on the battlefield, cast aside his bow and arrows and sat down on the chariot, his mind overwhelmed with grief."

"sanjaya uvacha
evam uktva hrishikesham
gudakeshah parantapah
na yotsya iti govindam
uktva tusnim babhuva ha" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 9)

"Sanjaya said: O King, having spoken thus to Sri Krishna, Arjuna, again said to Krishna, “Hey Govinda, I shall not fight,” and fell silent."

Below are verses of Bhagwat Gita in which Lord Krishna gave sermon to Arjuna to do his duty of fighting a just & righteous war & motivated his mind.

"sreyan sva-dharmo vigunah
para-dharmat sv-anusthitat
sva-dharme nidhanam sreyah
para-dharmo bhayavahah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Three verse 35)

"Lord Sri Krishna said: It is far better to discharge one’s prescribed duties, even though faultily, than another’s duties perfectly. Destruction in the course of performing one’s own duty is better than engaging in another’s duties, for to follow another’s path is dangerous."

"karmany evadhikaras te
ma phalesu kadachana
ma karma-phala-hetur bhur
ma te sango ’stv akarmani" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 47)

"Lord Sri Krishna said: You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty."

"yoga-sthah kuru karmani
sangam tyaktva dhananjaya
siddhy-asiddhyoh samo bhutva
samatvam yoga ucyate" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 48)

"Lord Sri Krishna said: Perform your duty equi-poised, O Arjuna, abandoning all attachment to success or failure. Such equanimity is called yoga."

By the teachings of Lord Krishna, weakness of mind of Arjuna was gone & he became motivated. Below is a verse of Bhagwat Gita in which Arjuna acknowledges that his weakness of mind has gone & that he is now motivated to do his duty of fighting a just & righteous war.

"arjuna uvacha
nasto mohah smritir labdha
tvat-prasadan mayacyuta
sthito ’smi gata-sandehah
karisye vachanam tava" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 73)

"Arjuna said: O Lord Sri Krishna, my illusion is now gone. I have regained my memory by Your grace. I am now firm and free from doubt and am prepared to act according to Your instructions."

So it is seen above, how the defeated & de-motivated mind of Arjuna became good & motivated by the teachings of Bhagwat Gita. Similarly we can also come out of the state of depression, de-motivation & dejection by reading the teachings of Bhagwat Gita. These teachings show us how to do our duty properly & how to lead a good life. So let's all follow the great teachings of Bhagwat Gita as told by Lord Sri Krishna Himself to Arjuna. These teachings are as much relevant in fast day to day life of ours today as these were in ancient times.

One God in All Religions

God is one but different religions & faiths of the world depict Him in different names & forms. People call God by the different names like Sri Ram, Sri Krishna, Gobind, Shiva, Waheguru, Allah, Jesus etc.The great Indian saint of Bengal, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa also saw & taught about one God in all religions. As per him:

"I see people who talk about religion, constantly quarrelling with one another. Hindus, Mussalmans, Brahmos, Shaktas, Vaishnavas, Shaivas, all quarrel with one another. They haven't the intelligence to understand that He who is called Krishna is also Shiva and the Primal Shakti, and that it is He, again, who is called Jesus and Allah. "There is only one Rama and He has a thousand names.". Truth is one; it is only called by different names. All people are seeking the same Truth; the disagreement is due to differences in climate, temperament, and names. Everyone is going toward God. They will all realize Him if they have sincerity and longing of heart."

In Bhagwat Gita Chapter Ten, Lord Krishna also says that He is the source of all beings & of different gods. Not even that as per Lord Krishna, all these universes & creations spring from but a spark of His splendor only. As per Him, He is seated in hearts of all living entities. He Himself is Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva & Lord Brahma. He Himself is Sun, Moon, Wind & Fire. He Himself is Rama God too. He Himself is Lord of wealth - Kubera. He Himself is Spiritual word Om. He Himself is river Ganges. Among women He Himself is manifested as Goddess of fortune (Lakshmi), Goddess of wisdom (Saraswati) & other Goddesses of fame, memory, intelligence, steadfastness and patience. As per Lord Krishna His opulence is limitless.

Hindus likewise believe in only one God. They glorify and praise His thousands of qualities. For example when God is love, He is symbolically represented by Lord Krishna, God as virtue is represented by lord Rama, God as power is represented by Lord Hanuman, God as wisdom is represented by Goddess Saraswati etc. etc. So these different aspects of Gods represent spirituality, purity, power etc. of the Ultimate One who is endless truth and bliss.



Below are some verses from Bhagwat Gita which explain about various manifestations of One Supreme God.

"aham atma gudakesha
sarva-bhutasaya-sthitah
aham adis cha madhyam cha
bhutanam anta eva cha" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 20)

"Sri Krishna said: I am the Super Soul, O Arjuna, seated in the hearts of all living entities. I am the beginning, the middle and the end of all beings."

"adityanam aham vishnur
jyotisam ravir amsuman
maricir marutam asmi
nakshatranam aham sasi" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 21)

"Sri Krishna said: Of the Adityas I am Vishnu, of lights I am the radiant Sun, of the Maruts I am Marici, and among the stars I am the Moon."

"rudranam sankaras chasmi
vitteso yaksha-rakshasam
vasunam pavakas chasmi
meruh sikharinam aham" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 23)

"Sri Krishna said: Of all the Rudras I am Lord Shiva, of the Yakshas and Rakshasas I am the Lord of wealth [Kubera], of the Vasus I am fire [Agni], and of mountains I am Meru."

"pavanah pavatam asmi
ramah shastra-bhrtam aham
jhasanam makaras chasmi
srotasam asmi jahnavi" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 31)

"Sri Krishna said: Of purifiers I am the Wind, of the wielders of weapons I am Rama, of fishes I am the shark, and of flowing rivers I am the Ganges."

"yac chapi sarva-bhutanam
bijam tad aham arjuna
na tad asti vina yat syan
maya bhutam characharam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 39)

"Sri Krishna said: Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being—moving or nonmoving—that can exist without Me."

"yad yad vibhutimat sattvam
srimad urjitam eva va
tat tad evavagaccha tvam
mama tejo-’msa-sambhavam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 41)

"Sri Krishna said: Know that all opulent, beautiful and glorious creations spring from but a spark of My splendor."

"atha va bahunaitena
kim jnatena tavarjuna
vistabhyaham idam krtsnam
ekamsena sthito jagat" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 42)

"Sri Krishna said: But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe."

So lets see One God in all human beings & in all the religions. We should not fight on the basis of religion & understand the view point of different people in different religions.

How to Manage Stress in life?

Stress at work, Stress at home, Stress in relations, Stress in family life, we all suffer from some or the other form of stress in life. Stress has become the most common word in our fast day to day life. In our daily life everyone suffers from stress at some point or the other. Stress can be due to workplace pressures, tensions in relationships etc. etc. Stress normally disturbs our physical and mental health. Due to stress a person fails to respond appropriately to emotional or physical threats to the organism.

Common stress symptoms include irritability, muscular tension, inability to concentrate and a variety of physical reactions, such as headaches and accelerated heart beat. Otherwise stress can also cause backache, insomnia, fatigue, hypertension, eating disorder etc. So it is very clear that STRESS can create havoc with your life.

So it is imperative that we need to be cool & calm in life. Stress needs to be avoided in all cases in life. Now how can a person remain always cool and unruffled under all circumstances so that he/she never experiences any stress?

If we want to come out of stress in life then first of all we need to change our lifestyle. First & foremost thing is that we need to be peaceful at mind in all circumstances. For that we should be satisfied with what we have at present. Let's try to be happy & try to enjoy what we are having at present. Do not hanker your mind always after those things which are not very easy to attain in life & are beyond one's reach.

Other than that just try to make harmonious relations with the people all around you. Be friendly with your relations & people around you at workplace. Once you are able to do that then you shall find that you are better off & much peaceful.

Other than this, just ENJOY your work. If you shall enjoy your work than considering it a burden, then also most of your Stress shall leave you as a person's mind engrossed in work has little to think about other things in life. Once you are peaceful at mind then stress shall leave you.

Finally as per teachings of "Bhagwat Gita" we need to be happy with our present state of life & should not hanker after the material desires. We need to have faith in God & should do our own duty as while doing one's own duty only one can be happy.

"Yoga-sthah kuru karmani
sangam tyaktva dhananjaya
siddhy-asiddhyoh samo bhutva
samatvam yoga ucyate" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 48)"

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: Perform your duty with an equipoise mind, abandoning all attachment to success or failure. Such equanimity is called Yoga."

So just do your work with your 100% involvement & dedication & derive pleasure out of doing such work. Other than that, we need to learn some relaxation techniques such as meditation, doing deep breathing exercises, listening to soul soothing music etc. Having a long simple walk, doing some physical exercises, massaging the body can also help in reducing the stress.

Anger

Once a student came to his Master and complained: "Master, I have an ungovernable temper. I get angry every now & then. How can I control & cure it?"

Master said, "Oh! You have a very strange problem, Just show me & let me see what problem do you have."

Student said "Just now I cannot show it to you."

O.K. "When can you show it to me?" asked the Master.

"It arises unexpectedly," replied the student.

Master said, "Then, it must not be your own true nature. If it were, you could show it to me at any time. When you were born you did not have it, and your parents did not give it to you. Your true nature is Soul nature in which all the calm & peace is there, just think over it."

We all know that getting angry is not good in our life but all of us get angry at some point of time in life. Why at times our mind gets violent & anger is expressed in our nature? In a state of anger we hurt our near & dear one's mind by speaking angry words. When anger gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems for oneself, as well as, for others also. In the state of anger we are at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion which if not controlled by us does harm only to our life. If anger is not controlled, it can lead to physiological, as well as, psychological problems in our life.

Now how we can control this anger? Basically, to control anger is to first control & calm your mind. If your mind remains in a state of calm then no negative emotions can arouse in it. To be peaceful at mind, the easiest way is that we let our mind delve inside our own inner Soul nature rather than hankering after outside worldly objects i.e. we should daily do some meditation, as in meditation mind becomes peaceful. If mind continuously runs after outside worldly things then it gets disturbed when the thing of desire is not attained. When the mind gets disturbed in this way then anger arouses in the mind & it leads to negative consequences only. When you close your eyes in meditation, you start delving inside your inner nature. What is your inner nature? It's nothing but your Soul inside, where you delve in times of meditation & attain peace. In Soul, there is peace only. Now your Soul is nothing but part & parcel of Universal Soul only. Universal Soul is nothing but God only, who is ultimate peace.

Below is a verse from Bhagwat Gita which explains why we should avoid anger:

"tri-vidham narakasyedam
dvaram nasanam atmanah
kamah krodhas tatha lobhas
tasmad etat trayam tyajet" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Sixteen verse 21)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, There are three gates leading to the hell — Lust, Anger and Greed. Every sane man should give these up, for they lead to the degradation of the Soul."

So let's avoid arising of negative emotion like anger in our mind. A mind free of anger remains calm & peaceful.

God Is The Spiritual Reality In All The Creatures

God is there in your heart. It is immediately proven by the fact that when you go to a temple or church, you just close your eyes & start praying with closed eyes, while you are in front of your revered God. Simply you feel God much closer to your heart inside yourself than in the standstill figure or statue in the temple or church. Yes, God is there in your heart who is sitting silently over there watching you & your actions. This aspect of God is called "Antaryamin".

"Antaryamin means the one who can observe & know every thing of your heart without you being explaining anything to Him. So God is called Antaryamin as we need not explain to Him about any of our problems. In this aspect He is Antaryamin & He knows what we want."

So God is seated in all beings as the Antaryamin. God is also everywhere as the Omnipresent God (Sarva-vyapi Bhagavan). In Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Thirteen, Lord Krishna explains about the Body & the Soul. As per that this body is the field, and the Being (Soul) who is seated in this field is called the Knower of the field. Lord Krishna says, "O Arjuna, know Me to be the Knower of the field in all the fields i.e. I am the Soul present in all the bodies". In all other creatures & animals also, Lord is there in their bodies as Antaryamin God. God is the beginning, the middle and the end of all creatures.

Below are few verses of Bhagwat Gita explaining that God is the Spiritual Reality (Soul) in all the creatures:

"kshetra-jnam chapi mam viddhi
sarva-kshetresu bharata
kshetra-kshetrajnayor jnanam
yat taj jnanam matam mama" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Thirteen verse 3)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, you should understand that I am also the knower (Soul) in all the bodies, and to understand this body and its knower (Soul) is called knowledge. That is My opinion."

"bahir antas cha bhutanam
acharam charam eva cha
suksmatvat tad avijneyam
dura-stham chantike cha tat" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Thirteen verse 16)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, The Supreme Truth (Super Soul) exists outside and inside of all living beings, the moving and the nonmoving. Because He is subtle, He is beyond the power of the material senses to see or to know. Although far, far away, He is also near to all."

"avibhaktam cha bhutesu
vibhaktam iva cha sthitam
bhuta-bhartr cha taj jneyam
grasisnu prabhavishnu cha" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Thirteen verse 17)


"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, Although the Supersoul appears to be divided among all beings, He is never divided. He is situated as one. Although He is the maintainer of every living entity, it is to be understood that He devours and develops all."


"aham atma gudakesha
sarva-bhutasaya-sthitah
aham adis cha madhyam cha
bhutanam anta eva cha" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 20)


"Sri Krishna said: I am the Super Soul, O Arjuna, seated in the hearts of all living entities. I am the beginning, the middle and the end of all beings."


So as God is there in your heart in "Antaryamin" aspect, you can always find some time from your daily routine & can pray to Him while closing your eyes. Daily praying to Him like this shall make you more peaceful & shall make you feel more closer to God. A deer who is having the Kasturi (Musk) in his body only, searches for the cause of fragrance all over there in the wild, while that sweet fragrance comes from the inside of his body only. Same is the case with us that we are searching for the God outside ourselves while He is sitting in our heart only.

Devotion Is The Easiest Way To Get Close to God

As per the Bhagwat Gita, devotion is the easiest method to know the truth about self knowledge / soul knowledge & get close to the God. In "Bhagwat Gita", Lord Krishna Says that if a person is devoted to God only then God rescues that person from ocean of Birth & Death i.e. that man becomes eligible for permanent life beyond death forever with God. God is very clear that once a person comes in God's refuge, then all his problems are solved & God becomes his protector in this life & life beyond. God assures that his devotee never falls again in life as He always protect him.

God himself declares about the glory of devotion in Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 65 & 66 which are here given below.

Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 65:

"man-mana bhava mad-bhakto
mad-yaji mam namaskuru
mam evaishyasi satyam te
pratijane priyo ’si me" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 65)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: Always think of Me, become My devotee, worship Me and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend."

Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 66:

"sarva-dharman parityajya
mam ekam saranam vraja
aham tvam sarva-papebhyo
mokshayisyami ma suchah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 66)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear."

Also as per (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter XII verse 8) God says that:

"Fix Your mind on Me (God) and establish your reasoning in Me (God) alone; thereafter doing so you shall abide in Me (God) only. There is no doubt about it."

So as per assurance given by God in Bhagwat Gita, Lets all be devotees of God only & let's pray for Him (God) daily. So lets have devotion in God. Let's all worship the God so that He can protect us always.
