'Kripa' (कृपा) - God's Grace

God  is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you are always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. This unspeakable gift of grace is offered to all the world. Have you accepted it?

God is great & all merciful. His Divine grace or Blessing or 'Kripa' (कृपा) happens on all creatures. Divine grace is of two types. First one is Normal mercy & second one is Special mercy. Normal mercy is the one which is happening on all creatures, equally by God. Like Sun is shining on all beings equally or God provides for the water, air & food etc. for all the creatures, irrespective of whether these creatures love Him or not. Say there are many people who do not like or believe in God & rather there are many people who abuse the God or say ill of Him but still God never stops providing sunshine, air, water, food etc. to such people. This is called God's Normal mercy.

Other than that is Special mercy of God. This type of mercy happens on God's devotees. Such special Divine grace on devotees in Hinduism is the central tenet of Bhakti Yoga and Bhakti movements. It is a key towards realizing the spiritual path of self-realization in which God embraces His devotee. When Special mercy of God happens on any person then God gives that person, whatever, that person is lacking in life & also protects his/her life & belongings. In fact that person is always protected in life by God. Such type of Special mercy of God only happens on a person who engages his/her mind always in thinking of God, becomes God's devotee, offers obeisance's to God and always worships the God. Being completely absorbed in God, surely that person becomes eligible for God's Special mercy.

That is the reason that Adi Shankaracharya composed his famous verse Bhaja Govindam in 8th century, where he declared:

"bhajagovindam bhajagovindam
govindam bhaja muudhamate
sampraapte sannihite kaale
nahi nahi rakshati dukrijnkarane"

Worship Govinda, Worship Govinda,
Worship Govinda. Oh fool!
Nothing else will save you
at the time of your death.

Similarly below verses of Bhagwat Gita explain that:

"samo ’ham sarva-bhutesu
na me dvesyo ’sti na priyah
ye bhajanti tu mam bhaktya
mayi te tesu chapy aham" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 29)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna: I envy no one, nor am I partial to anyone. I am equal to all. But whoever renders service unto Me in devotion is a friend, is in Me, and I am also a friend to him."

"ananyas cintayanto mam
ye janah paryupasate
tesham nityabhiyuktanam
yoga-ksemam vahamy aham" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 22)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna: But those who always worship Me with exclusive devotion, meditating on My transcendental form—to them I carry what they lack, and I preserve what they have."

"sarva-dharman parityajya
mam ekam saranam vraja
aham tvam sarva-papebhyo
mokshayisyami ma suchah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 66)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, Abandon all varieties of religion or Setting aside all meritorious deeds, just surrender unto Me. I shall liberate you from all sins. Do not fear."

God works Invisibly to answer your Prayer

Have you ever felt God answering your prayers? How does God answers your prayers. Many people have told that their prayers were answered by God & God acted in their case to fulfil the wish of theirs or saved them in difficult times. Yes God is omnipresent, means He sits in every place & in every corner of this world. He is sitting in everyone’s heart also & knows everything what we are feeling or going through in our life. God answers to our calls if we call Him with full faith.

The things which are impossible with men are possible with God as He is all powerful. All around you there is a world of sin and sorrow but remember, God is there all powerful; God is stronger. Only pray on & wait on God. "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." Get linked to God. Adore and trust Him as the omnipotent One & He shall certainly answer to your prayer. Never pray without adoring His omnipotence, saying: "Mighty God, I claim Your almightiness. " And the answer to the prayer will come.

Prayer is an act of addressing the God with devotion for the purpose of worship. Prayer is a way of having a personal experience and intimate connection with our loving God. Prayer can be done during the worship or can be done just silently in our mind. Through prayer we have a personal experience & an intimate connection with our loving God. If we pray to God with sincerity then He shall answer to our prayers immediately. Through Prayer a person can address the Lord, his/her feelings & mind. God is willing to listen to you and responds with love and concern, all the time. The method of such calling our Lord is PRAYER. Those who have faith in Lord, generally Pray for Him. Prayer can be done during the worship or can be done just silently in our mind. If we pray to the Lord with sincerity then He shall answer to our prayers immediately.

What Faith in God can do?

Faith in God only determines what God with all of His powers can do in your life. In fact Faith in God can solve impossible problems. Faith in God is the key that God answers your prayers. Faith in God is the secret of Great achievement. Faith in God is the only basis for miracles in your life. Faith in God produces true success in your life. Faith in God can move mountains.

"Faith in God shields you against worries and helps you tackle life’s uncertainties. Those people who trust in God are found to have lower levels of worry and more tolerance of uncertainty than those who doubted God’s help."

In "Bhagwat Gita", Lord Krishna Says that if a person is devoted to God only then God rescues that person from all the miseries of life. If you have strong faith in God then God shall keep you away from all harm and shall watch over your life. He shall guard you from every evil & shall protect you always in life. Lord says:

"ye tu sarvani karmani
mayi sannyasya mat-parah
ananyenaiva yogena

mam dhyayanta upasate"

"tesam aham samuddharta
mrityu-samsara-sagarat
bhavami na cirat partha

mayy avesita-cetasam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Twelve verse 6-7)

"Those people, who worship Me by surrendering all their activities unto Me, are always devoted to Me, always meditate upon Me, Having always fixing their minds upon Me, O Parth - to them, I swiftly rescue from the miseries of life & also from the cycle of birth and death i.e always protect that devotee."

So just have Faith in yourself & in the words of the God. It's the Faith in yourself & God which makes our perceptions & beliefs. If you have Faith in words of the Lord Krishna, then you shall be able to turn toward the God. It's Faith in God only which determines how you can mould your life. So just have Faith in the words of Lord Krishna & His teaching in Bhagwat Gita. Let's all pray to Lord Krishna who is supreme, divine & all powerful God. In this way God shall deliver us from all the miseries of life & shall protect us always in life.

Radha’s Love for Krishna is Highest form of Bhakti

As per Srimad Bhagwat Gita, there are two types of Bhakti. First is Para Bhakti and other is Apara Bhakti & each one is directed towards a different aspect of God. Para Bhakti dwells on the un-manifested brahman that has nothing to do with any name and form. While Apara Bhakti, on the other hand, proceeds with the faith that the ultimate source of all things is a single Supreme Being which is there in all things and can, therefore, be adored as such. Apara Bhaktas (devotees those have Apara bhakti) therefore sail effortlessly through all the currents of life, gaining merit on the way through love and adoration of a manifestation of God, who responds by His Grace to their prayers. Para Bhakti is a difficult path and is opted only by small group of people. While most of people follow the, Apara Bhakti which is the easier path to salvation. It is in fact the starting point of Bhakti & on that account it is also called the premature stage of Bhakti.

Goddess Sri Radha Rani was not married to Lord Sri Krishna but still she was most dear to Him even more than His wives. It was because, Sri Radha was always full of devotion towards the Lord & never thought of anyone else besides Lord Sri Krishna. In pictures Sri Radha is almost always depicted alongside Sri Krishna.

Sri Radha Rani is considered as the greatest devotee of Lord Sri Krishna. It is said that Sri Radha, herself is the "Devotional energy" of Lord Sri Krishna who is the Lord of the universe. Her name always comes before the name of Lord Sri Krishna that is why God's one name is "Radha Krishna" also. Just take out only one "R" from "Radha Krishna" & it becomes just "aadha Krishna" i.e. "half Krishna" & that is the power of the name "Radha". As Sri Radha Rani is always in the thought of Lord Sri Krishna the Supreme God, so her state of "Spiritual Emotion" is called "Maha Bhaav or महाभाव" i.e. the highest state of Spiritual Emotion or Spiritual Ecstasy.

As per the Bhagwat Gita, devotion is the easiest method to develop "Bhaav" & get close to the God. God himself declares about the glory of devotion in Bhagwat Gita:

"ye tu dharmamritam idam
yathoktam paryupasate
sraddadhana mat-parama
bhaktas te ’tiva me priyah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Twelve verse 20)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: O Arjuna, Those who follow this imperishable path of devotional service and who completely engage themselves with faith, making Me the supreme goal, are very, very dear to Me."

"mayy eva mana adhatsva

How Long it takes for Self Realization

What is Self Realization? How Long it takes for Self Realization?

Self Realization is nothing but knowing the reality about yourself. Reality that you are not this physical body but someone beyond this body. Reality that you are a Soul which is part & parcel of that omnipresent Super Soul which is called Brahmn, Kutastha Chaitanya also, which is immortal & which is present in all the creation.

Now How Long it takes for Self Realization? To realize your true self, you only need to change your thought & have a firm faith, realization that you are a Soul & not that physical body which perishes in time. Once you move away from body conception of yourself & move towards Soul conception of yourself, then you have Self Realization automatically. Such Self Realization can actually occur in a flash of time only if you believe yourself to be a Soul than body. Other wise, it may take, years, many births also till you get out of this conception of yourself as a physical body. So believe yourself to be a Soul which is part & parcel of that omnipresent Super Soul called Brahmn & you shall get Self Realization at this very moment.

Here below a a story in which a man asked Gautama Buddha the same thing:

A young man went to Gautama Buddha and sought the Master’s guidance to achieve Enlightenment, The conversation went as follows:

Young Man: Master how long will it take for me to achieve enlightenment?

Gautama Buddha: It all depends on you......

Young Man: If I put in ten hours of meditation every day how long will it take?

Gautama Buddha: Maybe ten years

Young Man: What if I put in fifteen hours meditation?

Gautama Buddha: Maybe fifteen years

Young Man; [getting irritated] What if I meditate for twenty hours?

Gautama Buddha: Maybe twenty five years

The young man was almost infuriated.

Young Man: I cannot understand your logic—the more effort I put in, the more time it will take—this is ridiculous, Please explain.

Gautama Buddha: As long as you are fixated and obsessed about your goal you will not achieve it. Just do spiritual practice without one eye on the goal. Let events take their shape.

Recently Nobel Laureate V. Ramakrishnan, an Indian American said in an TV interview that he embarked on his research not out of a desire to win laurels but out of curiosity to solve a scientific problem. He was not working with one eye on the Nobel Prize.

So ‘’It does not matter what you do in life. Let you aspire to be the very best in terms of excellence in whatever you do."

In other words EXCELLENCE ought to be our ideal and everything else ought to be a side effect.

Bhagwat Gita also teaches us to do work in this way. Doing work in such a way, is called "Nishkama Karma". "Nishkama Karma" just means, no egoism in our action, no expectation of any gain or reward but doing your work effectively. It is also that : “You have a right to action but never to the fruits of action.” Below verses of Bhagwat Gita Explains that only.

"Karmanye vadhikaraste
ma phalesu kadachana
ma karma-phala-hetur bhur
ma te sango ’stv akarmani" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 47)"

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty."

"Yoga-sthah kuru karmani
sangam tyaktva dhananjaya
siddhy-asiddhyoh samo bhutva
samatvam yoga ucyate" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 48)"

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: Perform your duty with an equipoise mind, abandoning all attachment to success or failure. Such equanimity is called Yoga."

So just do your work with your 100% involvement & dedication & derive pleasure out of doing such work. You yourself shall then see that when you care for the work only & not it's final outcome, you work most effectively. Doing work in such a way is only called "Karma Yoga".

Bhakti Yoga : भक्ति योग

Bhakti Yoga : भक्ति योग is a Spiritual discipline in which through the cultivation of Love and devotion towards God one attains to the highest state of Nirvana. It is a practice of devotion towards God, solely motivated by the sincere, loving desire to please the God, rather than the hope of divine reward or the fear of divine punishment. It is a means toward a state of spiritual liberation or enlightenment through the "realisation", or the attainment of "oneness" with God. Bhakti yoga is often considered by Hindus to be the easiest way for ordinary people to attain such a spiritually liberated state, because although it is a form of yoga, its practice is not as rigorous as most other yogic schools, and it is possible to practice bhakti yoga without needing to become a full-time yogi.

As per the Hindu mythology, in other paths like "Jnana Yoga", the path of Knowledge or "Dhyana Yoga", the Yoga of Meditation etc. it is essential that one practices self discipline, masters his senses, passions etc. to realize the God. But Bhakti Yoga, the path of devotion is Unique in that sense.

Bhakti is a Sanskrit term that signifies an attitude of devotion towards God which is similar to a number of interpersonal relationships between humans, such as between lovers or friends. The difference is that in bhakti, the relationship is between a soul (that of the devotee) and a "Supersoul" (God). Bhakti is a yogic path, in that the devotee's aim is of loving union with God.

As per the great saint Sri Ramakrishna:

" Is it possible to realize God unless one’s passions have already been controlled? In a sense not. But that is true only of Jnana Yoga, the path of Knowledge. The knowing one says, “One must first be pure if one desires to see God. One must first control one’s passions. First self-discipline, then knowledge of God.”

There is however, another path leading to God – the path of devotion (Bhakti Yoga). If one man gains love of God, if once the chanting of His holy name begins to thrill the devotee with joy, what effort is needed for the control of passions afterwards? The control comes of itself. Can a man suffering from intense grief be in a mood to enter into a quarrel, or to enjoy a feast, or to give his mind up to the pleasures of the senses? So one absorbed in the love of God cannot think of sense-pleasures.

A poet has compared devotion to God to a tiger. As the tiger devours animals, devotion also swallows up all the ‘arch-enemies’ of man, such as lust, passion and the rest. Once the devotion to God is fully awakened, all evil passions like lust and anger are completely destroyed."

In "Bhagwat Gita", Lord Krishna Says that if a person is devoted to God only then God rescues that person from ocean of Birth & Death i.e. that man becomes eligible for permanent life beyond death forever with God.

As per (Gita: Chapter XII verse 8) God says that:

"mayy eva mana adhatsva
mayi buddhim nivesaya
nivasisyasi mayy eva
ata urdhvam na samsayah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Twelve verse 8)

" Fix Your mind on Me (God) and establish your reasoning in Me (God) alone; thereafter doing so you shall abide in Me (God) only. There is no doubt about it. "

' Ye tu srvani krmani
myi sanyasya mat-para
anany-naiv yogen
maam dhyayant upasate '
' Tesham-aham samud-dharta
mrityu-sansar-saagrat
bhavami na-chirat parth
mayy-avesita-chetsam ' ( Bhagwat Gita: Chapter XII verse 6-7 )

'Those people, who worship Me by surrendering all their activities unto Me, are always devoted to Me, always meditate upon Me, Having always fixing their minds upon Me, O Parth - to them, I swiftly rescue from the ocean of birth and death.'

So as per assurance given by God in Gita, Lets all be devotees of God only & let's pray for Him (God) daily.

Rabia & the Needle Story - Parable to Find God Within

Rabia & the Needle Story:

Once there was a Sufi saint called Rabia. She was very advanced in the matter of Philosophy & meditation. Rabia used to speak to people about God & lot many people used to come to listen to her. There was another Sufi mystic called Hasan who used to come to listen her philosophy on God.

Once Rabia was sitting inside her home & was giving the discourse to people about God. Hasan also came to listen her discourse & called forth from the outside of her home, 'Rabia, what are you doing inside? Come out! God has given birth to such a beautiful morning. What are you doing inside?'

Rabia laughed and said, 'Hasan, outside is only God's creation, inside is God himself (means God is there in your heart). Why don't you come in? Yes, the morning is beautiful, but it is nothing compared with the Creator who creates all the mornings. Yes, those birds are singing beautifully, but they are nothing compared with the song of God. That happens only when you are seeking God within your heart.

One evening Hasan saw Rabia searching for something on the street in front of her home. Hasan asked, 'What is the matter? What are you searching for?' And Rabia replied, 'I have lost my needle & I am searching for it.' Then Hasan asked, 'Rabia, the street is big and night is just descending and soon there will be no light and a needle is such a small thing -- unless you tell exactly where it has fallen it will be difficult to find.'

Rabia said, 'Don't ask that. Don't bring that question up at all. If you want to help me, help, otherwise don't help, but don't bring up that question.'

Hasan stopped and said. 'What is the matter? Why can't I ask this? If you don't tell where the needle has fallen, how can I be of any help to you?'

She said, 'The needle has fallen inside my house.'

Hasan said, 'Then have you gone mad? If the needle has fallen inside the house why are you searching here?'

And Rabia said, 'Because the light is here outside. Inside the house there is no light.'

Hasan said, 'Even if the light is here, how can she find the needle if it has not been lost here? The right way would be to bring light inside the house so you can find the needle.'

At this Rabia laughed, 'You are such clever person about small things like needle. When are you going to use your intelligence for your inner life about God who sits in your heart? I have seen you searching God outside in the world and I know perfectly well from my own experience that God sits well within the heart. The bliss that you are searching for outside in the world is there in your heart if you find God over there.
Rabia said, 'Hasan, If you are really intelligent then ask yourself. why are you searching for bliss in the outside world? Have you lost it there?'

Hasan after listening this, started thinking deeply about it and Rabia disappeared into her house.

As per Bhagwat Gita: 

"sarvasya chaham hridi sannivisto
mattah smritir jnanam apohanam cha
vedais cha sarvair aham eva vedyo
vedanta-krd veda-vid eva chaham" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fifteen verse 15)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vedanta, and I am the knower of the Vedas."

The Supreme Lord is situated as Paramatma in everyone's heart, and it is from Him that all activities are initiated. Lord is not only all-pervading; He is also localized in every individual being's heart.

It is said that God is present in all creation, He sits in every atom of the universe. He is seated within all the infinite space. All creation exists & lives within His Infinite body. He is seated in everyone's heart & also lives in mine & your hearts. This infinite God is only called "Brahmn".

Radha Krishna Consciousness

Lord Krishna is the supreme God & Radha Rani is the devotional energy of Lord Krishna. Radha Rani is not different from Lord Krishna & both are one & the same being.That is the reason that both are also addressed as RadhaKrishna. Lord Krishna is eternal, all-knowing, omnipresent, all-powerful and all-attractive God. He is the seed-giving father of all living beings and is the sustaining energy of all the universe. He is the source of all incarnations of God. So whatever, we eat should first be offered to Lord Krishna with a prayer to Him. In this way Lord Krishna accepts the offering and blesses us. So let’s don’t live in a self-cantered way & let’s do all our acts for the pleasure of Lord Krishna. This is known as Bhakti-Yoga, the science of Devotional service.

As said above that Radha Rani is the devotional energy of Lord Krishna so we should pray her to get the devotion towards Lord Krishna. So let's have our emotions towards God & have Him in our life. Let's understand Him. If we are able to generate feelings or emotions towards the God then such "Spiritual Emotion" is called "Bhaav or भाव". When one is in a state of Spiritual Emotion, one’s sub-conscious mind merges with the God for the time being & experiences communion with God. Spiritual Emotion is a state experienced in the Path of Devotion (Bhaktiyoga). During the state of "Bhaav" or "Spiritual Emotion" there is an intense awareness about the existence of God while carrying out day-to-day life activities. Spiritual Emotion is also a state of experiencing God’s presence everywhere.

Gopis & Radha's love for Lord Krishna was so strong that in His absence their mind always yearned for Him. Below are described the "Bhaav" or "Spiritual Emotions" of one Gopi who is yearning to meet God - Lord Krishna :

"O Krishna! You are Lord of my life. You always remain so in my life. O Lord, don't keep me out of your mind. O Lord, pl. don't forget me."

"O Krishna! My heart is crying for you, pl. do come. My soul is crying for you, pl. do come. O God, there is burning desire in my heart to meet you, pl. do come. Now pangs of separation are unbearable. Now even if I die Krishna, but see, even after death, my desire to meet you shall not die, as all my such desires are indestructible like You only. It shall live on forever till You meet me."

Sri Radha Rani is the greatest devotee of Lord Shri Krishna. It is said that Sri Radha is herself the "Devotional energy" of Lord Shri Krishna who is the Lord of the universe. Her name always comes before the name of Lord Krishna that is why God's one name is "Radha Krishna" also. As Sri Radha Rani is always in the thought of Lord Shri Krishna the Supreme God, so her state of "Spiritual Emotion" is called "Maha Bhaav or महाभाव" i.e. the highest state of Spiritual Emotion or Spiritual Ecstasy.

As per the Bhagwat Gita, devotion is the easiest method to develop "Bhaav" & get close to the God. God himself declares about the glory of devotion in Bhagwat Gita:

"man-mana bhava mad-bhakto
mad-yaji mam namaskuru
mam evaishyasi satyam te
pratijane priyo ’si me" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 65)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: Always think of Me, become My devotee, worship Me and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend."

"sarva-dharman parityajya
mam ekam saranam vraja
aham tvam sarva-papebhyo
mokshayisyami ma suchah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 66)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear."

"ye tu dharmamritam idam
yathoktam paryupasate
sraddadhana mat-parama
bhaktas te ’tiva me priyah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Twelve verse 20)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: O Arjuna, Those who follow this imperishable path of devotional service and who completely engage themselves with faith, making Me the supreme goal, are very, very dear to Me."

"mayy eva mana adhatsva
mayi buddhim nivesaya
nivasisyasi mayy eva
ata urdhvam na samsayah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Twelve verse 8)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, Just fix your mind upon Me and engage all your intelligence in Me. Thus you will live in Me always, without a doubt."

So let's have devotion in God. Let's remember God for some time in our daily life so that we too can generate some "Bhaav" or "Spiritual Emotion" towards the God. Once that is developed, we shall always find God near us & our life shall be filled with joy, love & ecstasy.

Real Seekers of God

In Indian culture, Satsang or a religious congregation where thousands of spiritual or religious people assemble together is a very common sight. Such Satsang or religious congregations generally happen regularly in Indian cities where spiritual discourses are given by a Guru & thousands of people listen to such discourses. Have you ever thought, how many of these thousands of people assembled there really have a true desire to know God? In fact most of these people are worldly people who have their mind deeply engrossed in their family affairs. Very few in the crowd are there who have a true desire to know God in reality.

In such a crowd of religious congregation, out of 10,000 people you may find only one who is a true seeker of God. Out of such 10,000 true seekers you may find only one who has a true knowledge of God. Out of such 10,000 people who have a true knowledge of God there is only one who has seen God & is a True Saint. So there is a rare person who has seen God & who live in true bliss of God.

In Bhagwat Gita also the Great Lord, Sri Krishna says the same about this matter. Below is a good verse, "Verse - 3, Chapter Seven of Bhagwat Gita"teaching the same thing.

"Manush-yanam sahes-tresu
kashchid yatati siddhyaye
yat-taam api siddhanam
kashchin mam vetti tatvatah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter VII verse 3)

“Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, Of thousands of men some rare soul strives to realize Me & endeavour for perfection, and of those striving Yogis, again, someone rare one (devoting himself exclusively to Me) knows Me in reality."

Devotees are of different types. Some remember God when they are in distress & want to get rid of their grief. Some want to know God due to their inquisitiveness about Him. Some pray God to attain wealth in life while some wise men want to have true knowledge of God. As per Bhagwat Gita there are 4 types of devotees of God.

1) First one are those people who are in distress. In our bad times when we are in distress or when we are going through physical or mental agony, at that time we generally remember & pray to God. Such people devote themselves to God because they wish to be liberated from grief.

2) Second one are those people who want to know about the God. Such people have faith in God & want to know more about Him. Such people due to their inquisitiveness, debate about the God, read books etc. to know more about the God.

3) Third one are those people who want to gain wealth in life. There is no end to such people in this world. You can find such people generally in temples etc. asking God to give them wealth, money etc. Such people are those one's who do their appointed task for money because doing it will bring good fortune to them. So such people are the doers of selfish action in life.

4) Fourth one are those people who are people of True knowledge. Such people are really the wise men.They have true knowledge to God. They are the realized sages, who have attained to the stage of reaching the supreme goal.

Below are the verses of Bhagwat Gita which explain about the above said 4 types of devotees.

"chatur-vidha bhajante mam
janah sukritino ’rjuna
arto jijnasur artharthi
jnani cha bharatarsabha" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Seven verse 16)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, four kinds of pious men begin to render devotional service unto Me—the distressed, the inquisitive, the desirer of wealth, and the one who is searching for knowledge of the Absolute."

"udarah sarva evaite
jnani tv atmaiva me matam
asthitah sa hi yuktatma
mam evanuttamam gatim" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Seven verse 18)

"Sri Krishna said: All these devotees are undoubtedly magnanimous souls, but he who is situated in knowledge of Me, I consider to be just like My own self. Being engaged in My transcendental service, he/she is sure to attain Me, the highest and most perfect goal."

So just check, which type of devotee of God are you? If you are not the fourth one i.e. a person of True knowledge, a really wise person, then just strive to be the one. Just devote yourself to God, read religious literature, join the company of saintly people, give charities, alms to the people. Doing all such good works & having a yearning for God, you shall certainly become a wise person, a true devotee of God & shall ultimately attain to Him.

Also if you have some Guru or you know of a great soul whom you revere as Great Godly person, then be sure that your Idol person, really has knowledge of God & has realized Him in life. Just check, whether he is the real rare Gem who knows God in reality & can lead you also to God.

There Is Same Light In All The Candles

If we place hundreds of Candles in a row & start alighting these with one Candle then all of these can be alighted with just one candle. Light in all the candles shall be same. It is the same said of Godly light also that alights all the bodies of all the species in this world. God sits the same in the heart of all the beings just like the same light alights all the candles. The same one God is reflected in the hearts of all living beings as the Antaryami. That one True Universal Self or God is eternally pure, eternally perfect, unchangeable, unchanged. The light of the God or true Self appears in everyone’s body & keeps its alive.

God is present in all creation, He sits in every atom of the universe. He is seated within all the infinite space. All creation exists & lives within His Infinite body. He is seated in everyone's heart & also lives in mine & your hearts. This infinite God is only called "Brahmn".

"One who is there in Space,
One who is there in Sun,
One who is there in Fire,
One who is there in Earth,
One who is there in Moon,
One who is there in Water,
One who is there in Your Heart,
One who is there in My Heart,
He is One, He is "Brahmn", He is God."

aham adis cha madhyam cha

nakshatranam aham sasi" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 21)

"Sri Krishna said: Of the Adityas I am Vishnu, of lights I am the radiant sun, of the Maruts I am Marici, and among the stars I am the moon."

adhyatma-vidya vidyanam
vadah pravadatam aham" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 32)

"Sri Krishna said: Of all creations I am the beginning and the end and also the middle, O Arjuna. Of all sciences I am the spiritual science of the self, and among logicians I am the conclusive truth."

"yac chapi sarva-bhutanam
bijam tad aham arjuna
na tad asti vina yat syan
maya bhutam characharam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 39)

"Sri Krishna said: Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being—moving or nonmoving—that can exist without Me."

It is Better to Light a Candle than Curse the Darkness

There are two types of people in the world. One are optimistic people & the other are pessimistic people. Optimistic people are always disposed to taking a favourable view of events or conditions in their life and always tend to expect the most favourable outcome in their life. However, pessimistic people are pertaining to or characterized by pessimism is their life or are having the tendency to expect only the bad outcomes; gloomy; joyless; unhopeful expectations in their lives.

Optimistic people are in fact more likely to be healthy in their body and mind. They are tend to feel more confident about life and more in control of her own destiny, and of course, will have an easier time with people. However, pessimistic people shall always be gloomy about their lives.

In the night when there is no light, you are not able to see anything in your room. But have you ever wondered whether there is any real existence or reality of darkness. Darkness is nothing but absence of light. You just lit a candle & darkness is gone. Darkness is just the absence of light & it has no real existence. Once a person saw in the dark that there is a snake in the room but on switching on the light, it turned out to be a rope only. So believing something to be something else is called ignorance. The person believing the rope to be a snake, was an ignorant person.

Same is with the philosophical truth of God & this world. As per the scriptures, God is the truth & has created this universe. He sit's in an invisible way in every nook & corner of the universe. This outer visible world is His creation, while He is there within this world in an invisible way. This whole world is changing all the time, while God is constant, & changeless. So to know God, we need to go beyond the thinking of this changing world.

Here below is a mantra / prayer from Upanishad which asks the God to take us from darkness of untruth which is enveloping our minds to reality of truth (God).

ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय ।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥

Om Asato Ma Sad-Gamya |
Tamaso Ma Jyotir-Gamya |
Mrtyor-Ma Amritam Gamya |
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti ||

Om Asato Ma Sad-Gamya - O Lord, Take me from untruth to Truth! Take me from Transitory Existence to the Reality (of Self, of God), The Truth is eternal and immortal.

Tamaso Ma Jyotir-Gamya - O Lord, Lead me from the Darkness (of Ignorance) to the Light (of Spiritual Knowledge), There lies the light of wisdom. Tamas is the darkness. Jyoti is the light. With light, darkness is dispelled. Darkness is death. The light is Truth, Bliss, Peace. The light is eternal.

Mrtyor-Ma Amritam Gamya - O Lord, Lead me from Death to the Immortality through purity of purpose.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti - O Lord, Let there be Peace, Peace, Peace.

But why it is so, that we cling to this visible world only & just forget the invisible God, who is the creator of this world. It is due to our ignorance only. In philosophy, it is said that we are clinging to Maya (visible world) & ignoring the God who is the real thing. So that's why, it is said that we should not cling to the unreal, untruth (Maya) & should turn our mind towards the God, who is the only reality & truth. Just like alighting a small lamp eats away all the darkness in the room, so just by illumining your intellect with the knowledge, shall lead you to the truth of God.

Now, why do we fall in to ignorance? It is all due to the Nature born "TamoGun" (mode of ignorance) which we put into practice in our lives. "Tamas" or "Tamo Gunn" is the mode of Nature which is responsible for ignorance, delusion, indolence, laziness and sleep in a person. We should not fall a pray to this "TamoGun".
Now here below is a verse from Bhagwat Gita which also tells us that in this whole creation, unreal has no existence, and the real (God) never ceases to be, So we should always turn our mind towards the God who is the only reality & truth.

"na-asato vidyate bhavo
nabhavo vidyate satah
ubhayor api drsto ’ntas
tv anayos tattva-darshibhih" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 16)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna : The unreal has no existence, and the real never ceases to be; the reality of both has thus been perceived by the seekers of the truth.

So let’s seek truth by praying regularly to God. By such praying, God shall enlighten our mind & thinking by which real truth about this world & God shall reveal to us.
It is Better to Light a Candle than Curse the Darkness.

One Supreme God

“Once a rich man employed a new servant in his house. Servant’s duties included everything of the house, as well as, gardening of the beautiful lawns, trees etc. in the house. On the first day, in the early morning in the house, owner asked the servant to do watering of all the plants in the garden. Poor servant had never done jobs in gardening, so he took a long plastic tube & started putting water on the leaves of all the trees in the garden. He went on putting water on each & every leaf of each tree & doing so the water tank in the house got empty.

Seeing no water coming in the taps of the house, the owner of the house enquired about, what was the matter. Suddenly owner realized that new servant has wasted all water in the garden. He immediately came to the garden & enquired from the servant, “why he was putting water on the leaves of each plant?” The ignorant servant said that he was obeying his master’s instructions only to water the plant. The owner got angry & told him that he has asked him to water the roots of each plant & not to put water on each & every leaf of each plant. The poor servant did not knew that by putting water in the roots only, each branch, each leaf of the tree is nourished & not by putting water on the leaves of the plant!!!!!!

In our understanding of God, we also do such mistakes that we start watering the leaves instead of the roots. God is one supreme & that God has created all this creation of humans, demigods etc. In this world, there are many demigods but we should worship the One who has created all these demigods. We should know that “One Supreme God” & worship Him. That One God is the root of this world tree. If we shall worship the root cause of this world, we shall automatically worship all other demigods.”

In Bhagwat Gita Lord Krishna tells us, how by worshipping the One Supreme God, one can worship all other demigods.

"yo yo yam yam tanum bhaktah
shraddhayarcitum icchati
tasya tasyachalam shraddham
tam eva vidadhamy aham" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Seven verse 21)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: I am in everyone’s heart as the Super soul. As soon as one desires to worship some demigod, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to that particular demigod (deity)."

"sa taya shraddhaya yuktas
tasyaradhanam ihate
labhate cha tatah kaman
mayaiva vihitan hi tan" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Seven verse 22)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: Endowed with such a faith, he endeavors to worship a particular demigod and obtains his desires. But in actuality these benefits are bestowed by Me alone."

"antavat tu phalam tesam
tad bhavaty alpa-medhasam
devan deva-yajo yanti
mad-bhakta yanti mam api" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Seven verse 23)

"Sri Krishna said: Men of small intelligence worship the demigods, and their fruits are limited and temporary. Those who worship the demigods go to the planets of the demigods, but My devotees ultimately reach My Supreme planet."

"sarva-dharman parityajya

aham tvam sarva-papebhyo
mokshayisyami ma suchah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 66)

"Sri Krishna says to Arjuna: "Abandon all supports (of other demigods) and look to me for protection. I shall purify you from the sins of the past; you do not grieve."

In Bhagwat Gita Chapter Ten, Lord Krishna is saying that he is the source of all beings & gods. Not even that as per Lord Krishna, all these universes & creations spring from but a spark of His splendor only. As per Him, He is seated in hearts of all living entities. He Himself is Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva & Lord Brahma. He Himself is Sun, Moon, Wind & Fire. He Himself is Rama God too. He Himself is Lord of wealth - Kubera. He Himself is Spiritual word Om. He Himself is river Ganges. Among women He Himself is manifested as Goddess of fortune (Lakshmi), Goddess of wisdom (Saraswati) & other Goddesses of fame, memory, intelligence, steadfastness and patience. As per Lord Krishna His opulence is limitless.

So let’s know that one One Supreme God from whom all other Gods, demigods have evolved. Let’s worship & devote ourself to that supreme deity only as by watering the roots (doing worship to the Supreme Lord), all the leaves shall automatically be watered (all other Gods & demigods shall automatically be worshipped).

Work is Worship - Karma Yoga

"karmany evadhikaras te
ma phalesu kadachana
ma karma-phala-hetur bhur
ma te sango ’stv akarmani" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Two verse 47)

"Sri Krishna said: You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.

In the above verse God is asking his disciple Arjuna to perform his prescribed duty & not get attached to the fruits of its action. If one does all his/her actions without considering or thinking about the Fruits these actions shall produce & devotes that action & its fruit to the God only, then he/she is not bound by that action & that action shall not bear such fruits which shall be the cause of his/her next birth. Once a person is relieved of taking rebirths then that person can go to the abode of God & live there with Him & he becomes a liberated soul.

Art of doing actions for the sake of God only & doing all his/her actions without thinking or keeping in mind the fruit of that action is only what is called Karmayoga.

Work is Worship” but When “Work is done as the Worship of God, it is called Karma Yoga”. To offer all of your actions to God, to live your life for the God, to service the God in every way is actually called the practice of Karma Yoga. By practicing Karma Yoga our future actions shall get purified & all of the bad karmas of our past shall get dissolved.

By devoting all our Karmas to God our mind gets purified of all the impurities & our mind receives the Godly light, Godly grace and Godly knowledge. If we do Service of humanity then also it is the service of God as God sits in the heart of all human beings. Let’s work without attachment and egoism & offer all the good works of ours to God.

By practicing Karma Yoga our heart reaches out to other people & through it we see God in all people’s hearts. By such devotional practice, divine virtues such as love, mercy, tolerance, kindness, patience, self-restraint, etc. are developed in us. Karma Yoga destroys jealousy, hatred, malice and the idea of superiority in us.

Below are verses from "Bhagwat Gita", in which God is asking his disciple Arjuna to do all his actions / activities for Him only. The below verses are firstly, written in, as it is written in original Sanskrit in Bhagwat Gita & below that is English translation of that verse.

' Ye tu srvani krmani
myi sanyasya mat-para
anany-naiv yogen
maam dhyayant upasate '
' Tesham-aham samud-dharta
mrityu-sansar-saagrat
bhavami na-chirat parth
mayy-avesita-chetsam ' ( Bhagwat Gita: Chapter XII verse 6-7 )

'Those people, who worship Me by surrendering all their activities unto Me, are always devoted to Me, always meditate upon Me, Having always fixing their minds upon Me, O Parth - to them, I swiftly rescue from the ocean of birth and death.'

Through above verse 6 & 7, God is telling 'Parth' (another name of Arjuna, his disciple), that those people who work for God only & offer all their activities & work to Him only, to such a Soul He shows great mercy, always protects him & finally rescues him during & after death.

"mayi sarvani karmani
sannyasyadhyatma-cetasa
nirasir nirmamo bhutva
yudhyasva vigata-jvarah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Three verse 30)

"Sri Krishna said: Therefore, O Arjuna, surrendering all your works unto Me, with full knowledge of Me, without desires for profit, with no claims to proprietorship, and free from lethargy, fight."

Now, how we can work for God only? This whole world is the creation of God only & knowingly, unknowingly, we all are working for the maintenance of this world only. Just introspect & see that, whatever, work or job (good one), you are doing in this world, it is helping in someway or the other in maintaining & sustaining this world. Just take it in that sense, that if all the people of the earth stop doing their daily work, duties, this whole world shall come to a standstill. In that case nobody shall grow food, vegetables, fruits & other things which sustain our life & hence we shall all die. Same is the case with other professions & each person is adding value to this world by doing his/her duty.

Now, though we do duty to sustain this world only but we don't realize that. As this world is a creation of God, so we should work for Him only. If we develop this sense that we are working selflessly to sustain this world created by God only, then also we shall develop an affinity towards God. In the above verses, God is making very clear that if a person offers all his work & activities to God, thinking this world to be a creation of God only, then also He shall be happy with that person & shall protect & shall deliver that person from the cycles of birth & death. By working for God, we shall attain peace & shall attain His love & devotion. So Let's all Work for God only.

Beautiful Hymn Devoted to Universal, Omnipresent form of Lord Krishna

Here below is a "Hymn to that Universal, Omnipresent form of Lord Krishna".

"O Lord Krishna, You are the Ancient One & the Lord of Shining Light,
O Lord Krishna, You dwell beyond all darkness and the night;
O Lord Krishna, knowing You alone can a man cross over death,
O Lord Krishna, There is no other path for him to take.

"O Lord Krishna, All heads are Your heads, all faces Your faces,
O Lord Krishna, You dwell inside the heart & also in all hidden places.
O Lord Krishna, Through the whole universe, You have extended Yourself.
O Lord Krishna, You are Shiva, the auspicious, the ever-present Lord.

"O Lord Krishna, With hands and feet everywhere, eyes and ears
Everywhere, heads and mouths everywhere,
O Lord Krishna, You have filled up every corner of the space.
O Lord Krishna, Smaller than smallest and larger than largest.

"O Lord Krishna, Present are You in the depths of our heart.
O Lord Krishna, When free of desires and unshaken by sorrow, we
Seek for You only, then by Your grace,
O Lord Krishna, Your Form and Your glory stand clearly before us.

"O Lord Krishna, You are the God Rama,
O Lord Krishna, You are the youth and the maiden, too;
O Lord Krishna, The old one tottering there with his cane
Is You, who are born here again and again.

"O Lord Krishna, You are the bird of dark-blue hue and the parrot green
With bright red eyes; You are the thunder-cloud's black sheen,
O Lord Krishna, You are the seasons and the seas. Beginning less and
Endless, You are He from whom all worlds are born.

"O Lord Krishna, Can men ever roll up space like a skin?
Then, unless they have known You without and within,
O Lord Krishna, How can they cross over sorrow and death?
O Lord Krishna, whose light needs no other light.

"O Lord Krishna, Creator of even Brahma, the creator,
Revealer to him of the knowledge called Veda,
O Lord Krishna, To You, I come in my longing for freedom;
O Lord Krishna, To You, for refuge, with reverence, I come!"

Here below is a Verse from Bhagwat Gita which exemplify this Universal, Omnipresent nature of God very loudly.

Yathakasa-sthito nityam
vayuh sarvatra-go mahan
tatha sarvani bhutani
mat-sthanity upadharaya (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 6)

"Sri Krishna says in Gita: Just like the mighty wind, blowing everywhere, rests always in the sky, so do all created beings rest in Me i.e. in God, who in its unmanifest aspect always rests within this all pervasive space."

From the above verse it is very clear that God gets seated himself always within this all pervasive Space & sees all our activities & controls this whole universe. So Let's start wondering about this Space & the God who is seated within this space in the invisible form. Once we realize this, then it shall be very easy to see GOD all around us & shall be able to feel the omnipresent nature of God. That Supreme God is only called Brahman.

Wonderful God – Lord Krishna

Lord Krishna is considered as the Supreme Deity & is worshipped across Hinduism as the Supreme God. Lord Krishna is the Wonderful God of Hinduism. He is recognized as the eighth incarnation (avatar) of Lord Vishnu, and one and the same as Lord Vishnu, one of the Trimurti and as the Supreme God in his own right. Lord Krishna gave spiritual knowledge to Arjuna as the Bhagavat Gita, also known as the Divine Song of God.

Lord Krishna has all the qualities of Godhead. He is very beautiful, pleasing, ever youthful, effulgent, strong, truthful, highly learned & highly knowledgeable. Lord Krishna talks very pleasingly, is very fluent, is highly intelligent & is a genius. He is the authority of Vedas & all the scriptures. He is magnanimous, compassionate, forbearing & always forgiving. He is the well-wisher of devotees & is controlled by love only. He is all-auspicious, very powerful, worshiped by all, all-opulent & the supreme controller of this Universe. Uncountable universes come out from His body & He is the source of all creations. He is also the source of all incarnations that happen from time to time.

Lord Krishna is almighty, all powerful & everyone prays to Him but there is a cult of devotion in which a person falls in Love with Lord Krishna & there is a burning desire in that person's mind to meet Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna is ‘Supreme Deity” & praying Him, having devotion in Him will remove all sins of a person & that person shall get divine bliss in life.

In "Bhagwat Gita", Lord Krishna Says that if a person is devoted to God only then God rescues that person from ocean of Birth & Death i.e. that man becomes eligible for permanent life beyond death forever with God.

"Ye tu srvani krmani
myi sanyasya mat-para
anany-naiv yogen
maam dhyayant upasate '
' Tesham-aham samud-dharta
mrityu-sansar-saagrat
bhavami na-chirat parth
mayy-avesita-chetsam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter XII verse 6-7)

'Those people, who worship Me by surrendering all their activities unto Me, are always devoted to Me, always meditate upon Me, Having always fixing their minds upon Me, O Parth - to them, I swiftly rescue from the ocean of birth and death.'

"sarva-bhuta-sthitam yo mam
bhajaty ekatvam asthitah
sarvatha vartamano ’pi
sa yogi mayi vartate" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Six verse 31)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, Such a yogi, who engages in the worshipful service of the Super soul, knowing that I and the Super soul are one, remains always in Me in all circumstances."

"satatam kirtayanto mam
yatantas cha drdha-vratah
namasyantas cha mam bhaktya
nitya-yukta upasate"  (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 14)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, Always chanting My glories, endeavouring with great determination, bowing down before Me, these great souls perpetually worship Me with devotion."

So let's be devoted to Lord Krishna always. Let's sing His Glories, read literature regarding Him & also do loving service to humanity (charity etc.) in His name.

Jiva (जीव) Moves From One Body to Other

In Hinduism Jiva or (जीव, jeev, jiwa, jeeva) is the immortal essence (individual soul) of a living organism (human, animal, fish or plant etc.) which survives physical death. It is somewhat similar to atma, but whereas atma refers to "the cosmic self", “Jiva” is used to denote an individual 'living entity' or 'living being' specifically. The terms Paramatma and jivatma are used to avoid this confusion. Jivás, originates from the Sanskrit word with the root jīv- which means “to breathe”. So a soul in a body which breathes is called a “Jiva”.

As per the "Bhagwat Gita", at the death of a person this "Jiva (जीव) takes aways all the human senses, its past, present sensory experiences & all the past, present memories with it. It is so subtle that due to its "Immaterial" nature it can travel at the speed of Light & can travel from one planet to another. So due to all the Karmic law as destined by God, it goes from one body to another in the different worlds. So the "Jiva (जीव)" moves from one body to another & one world to another world in "Time & Space", so that's why, It is also called "A Cosmic Traveller"

Below are some verses of "Bhagwat Gita", which clearly tells that there are so many Material Worlds in which a Jiva (जीव) which is a spark of the all pervading Cosmic Consciousness, travels from one place to another after taking repeated births. These are those people who have not yet known the God, hence they take repeated births.

"sariram yad avapnoti
yac chapy utkramatishvarah
grhitvaitani samyati
vayur gandhan ivasayat" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fifteen verse 8)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, The living entity (Jiva (जीव)) in the material world carries his different conceptions of life from one body to another as the air carries aromas. Thus he takes one kind of body and again quits it to take another."

"srotram chaksuh sparshanam cha
rasanam ghranam eva cha
adhisthaya manas chayam
visayan upasevate" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fifteen verse 9)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, The living entity (Jiva (जीव)), thus taking another gross body, obtains a certain type of ear, eye, tongue, nose and sense of touch, which are grouped about the mind. He thus enjoys a particular set of sense objects."

"utkramantam sthitam vapi
bhunjanam va gunanvitam
vimudha nanupasyanti
pasyanti jnana-chaksusah" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fifteen verse 10)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, The foolish cannot understand how a living entity (Jiva (जीव)) can quit his body, nor can they understand what sort of body he enjoys under the spell of the modes of nature. But one whose eyes are trained in knowledge can see all this."

"yada sattve pravreddhe tu
pralayam yati deh-bhrit
tado Uttam-vidam lokan
malan pratipadhyate " (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter XIV verse 14)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, "When one, Jiva (जीव) dies after doing Great & Good Karmas & established in the mode of goodness, he attains to the pure higher planets of the great sages."

"rajsi pralayam gatva
karma-sanghisu jayte
tatha pralinas tamsi
mudhh-yonishu jayate" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter XIV verse 15)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, "When one, Jiva (जीव) dies after doing Mixed Karmas in the mode of passion, he takes birth among those engaged in fruitive activities; and when one dies in the mode of ignorance, he takes birth in the animal kingdom."

"urdhvam gacchanti sattva-stha
madhye tish-thanti rajasa
jaghanya-guna-vrtti-stha
adho gacchanti tamasa (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter XIV verse 18)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, "Those Jiva (जीव) situated in the mode of goodness after doing Good Karma's gradually go upward to the higher planets; those in the mode of passion after doing Mixed Karma's live on the earthly planets; and those in the abominable mode of ignorance after doing Bad Karma's go down to the hellish worlds."

"a-brahm-bhuvanan loka
punara vartino ajuna
mam upetya tu kauntey
punara janm na vidhyate" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter VIII verse 16)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, "From the highest planet of Brahm Loka in the material world down to the lowest world, all are places of misery wherein a person comes in repeated birth and death from time to .time. But one who attains to to Me (God), O son of Kunti, never takes birth again."

"para's tasmat tu bhavo a'nyo
a'vyakto a'vyaktat sanatanah
ya sa sarveshu bhuteshu
nashyatsu na vinashyati " (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter VIII verse 20)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, "Beyond the above said material worlds, which are all perishable, there is another unmanifest nature, which is eternal and is transcendental in nature. It is supreme and is never annihilated. When all in this material world is annihilated, that part remains as it is i.e. it is never annihilated & there is eternal life."

Lord Sri Krishna is the Supreme Lord & just like the sun is eternally associated with his rays so the transcendental God Sri Krishna is eternally joined with the “Jivas”. The jivas are the infinitesimally small particles of His spiritual effulgence and are, therefore, not perishable like mundane things. “Jivas”, being part of Divine Lord’s effulgent rays, exhibit on a minute scale the divine qualities of God. So “Jivas” are identical with the qualities of Lord only.

Though Lord Krishna is the all powerful, all-pervading, all-extending Supreme Lord; but Jivas are confined to bodies only. When a Jiva meditates through devotion & merges with the Lord then only he attains to the Lord’s all powerful, all pervasive sublime nature.
