 Hinduism penetrates in America

In Hinduism there are many paths which if followed leads one to self Realization & to God. Whether it is manifest aspect (praying to God in a form) or unmanifest aspect (praying to God without a form).
In Bhagwat Gita, Lord Krishna also states about the different paths:

"Whose minds are attached to the unmanifested aspect of God, impersonal feature of the Supreme, advancement in spiritual path for that person is very troublesome. To make progress in that discipline is always difficult for those who are embodied in human form."
(Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Twelve verse 5)

"But those who worship Me, in body form, giving up all their activities unto Me and being devoted to Me without deviation, engaged in devotional service and always meditating upon Me, having fixed their minds upon Me, O Arjuna—for them I am easily attainable to them & swiftly deliver that person from the ocean of birth and death."
(Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Twelve verse 6-7)

Now as per one Report, an increasing number of people in America are subscribing to the essentially Hindu belief that there is no one way to salvation and that many religions could lead to eternal peace.

"A piece in an upcoming edition of the Newsweek magazine quoting a recent poll says that Americans are slowly becoming more like Hindus "conceptually" and less like traditional Christians in the ways they think about God and eternity.

The article headlined "we are all Hindus now" cites a Newsweek poll in 2009 according to which 30 per cent of Americans call themselves "spiritual, not religious," up from 24 per cent in 2005.

It shows that the number of people who seek spiritual truth outside the church is growing.

"A Hindu believes there are many paths to God. Jesus is one way, the Quran is another, yoga practice is a third. None is better than any other. The most traditional, conservative Christians have not been taught to think like this," the article says. However, Americans are no longer buying it.

According to a 2008 Pew Forum survey, 65 per cent of Americans believe that "many religions can lead to eternal life" including 37 per cent of conservative white evangelicals, it says.

The theory of re-incarnation, which is central to Hindu belief, also seems to be finding acceptance, with 24 per cent of Americans saying they believe in the concept, the article said quoting a 2008 Harris poll. "

Learn it from the Muslims

There is a very good practice in Islam that every devout Muslim in Islam is supposed to Pray to God five times a day. This formal prayer in Islam is called Namaz or Ṣalāt (Arabic: صلاة‎; pl. ṣalawāt). This formal prayer to God is done five times a day by an obedient Muslim.
This formal Prayer is performed five times a day: at dawn (fajr), noon (dhuhr), in the afternoon (asr), at sunset (maghrib) and nightfall (isha'a). How sweet it is that a devout Muslim does prayer to God five times a day, every day of week, all through his life.

So just like Muslims do Namaz five times a day, let you also remember God at least five times in a day so that He is always on our mind. In fact God is one but He is remembered by individuals in different ways in different religions & every religion on this earth teaches us some good aspects. Lets learn this aspect from devout Muslims & let's remember & pray to God at least five times a day.

In Bhagwat Gita also God assures:

"ananyas cintayanto mam
ye janah paryupasate
tesham nityabhiyuktanam
yoga-ksemam vahamy aham" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 22)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: But those who always worship Me always with exclusive devotion, meditating on My transcendental form—to them I give what they lack in life, and I protect what they have."

Ocean of Love

We all need love in life. Love is the emotional requirement of our mind as much as food is for our body. If you have people who love you in life then your emotional state of mind always remain in an elated state, otherwise you feel depressed. Now problem is that humans are not 100% perfect & imperfections in human beings, many times hurt your mind & you feel emotionally shattered. You must have seen in life that you have hardly come across a person who understands you completely & have never hurt you in life. All this is simply because humans are not perfect & cannot give you perfect love. Sometimes or the other you feel hurt in your relations & feel depressed.

Now can you find someone who is perfect one & can give you perfect love? One who never hurts you & can give you infinite love.

Whenever you love somebody there is a burning desire to meet that person. Now if you really get someone who can give you infinite unconditional love then your craving to meet that person shall be very strong & your mind shall always yearn for & run after that person. Something similar happened in the case of "Gopis of Vrindavan" who fell in deep love with Lord Shri Krishna. Though Lord Krishna is almighty, all powerful God & everyone prays to Him but "Gopis of Vrindavan", including "Radha Rani" fell in deep Love with the God & in their case there was a burning desire in their mind to meet the God.

So God only is the perfect one who can give you infinite unconditional love. That's why He is called as "Ocean of Love". If you love Him a little bit then He shall love you ten folds, as God is hungry of love & devotion only. So Hey God:

"You are an Ocean of Love,

You are the Infinite Love,

My heart is burning for that Love,

Let me have one drop of this Ocean of Love,

You send us on this earth and separate us from Yourself,

But, one day we shall get back to You and leave this world,

O God! my restless mind is eagerly getting impatient in coming back to you,

You are an Ocean of Love.........I am thirsty for one drop (of Your Love),

You are an Ocean of Love.........I am thirsty for one drop (of Your Love)."

In "Bhagwat Gita" also Lord Krishna is saying to Arjuna:

"Be aware of me always,
adore me, make every
act an offering to me,
and you shall come to me;
this I (Krishna) promise,
for you are dear to me."
(Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Eighteen verse 65)

"Abandon all supports and
look to me for protection.
I shall purify you from the
sins of the past; do not grieve."

Below are few of my random thoughts which I have posted recently on Twitter . I post these small thoughts regularly on Twitter , however, I shall compile & post it over here too regularly after few days of posting on Twitter :

Life is just not living your way & saying it goodbye one day. There is more to LIFE than that....

Morning is the time when you are at peace with your body & mind......It's the best time to think of GOD.....

Sleep gives rest to your body & dreams during sleep purge the irrelevant thoughts in your mind. Both are good.....

Whether one is a saint or a criminal, greedy or generous, ultimately we all are human only....Let's Love all......

You see this world through your mind, if mind is in happy mood you love this world, otherwise feel depressed......

Even while living your life normally you can attain God, Just Love & dedication for God is required............

Color of Your Mind

We all think & work through our mind. We all too have our emotions toward others in our mind. Emotions of love, compassion are in our mind & emotions of jealousy, greed etc. too are in our mind. All the good & bad qualities in your mind makes the "Nature of your mind" & nature of your mind determines your personality. Whatever good or bad Karmas you do that is going to make your personality.

Now as per the qualities of your mind, your nature can be either Good, Bad or mixed. Based on the qualities of your mind a color can be assigned to your mind. Mind of Good natured, calm, Sattvic type of person can be assigned "WHITE" color. Mind of Passionate, impulsive, sensuous type of person can be assigned "RED" color. Mind of Lazy, egoistic, indolent type of person can be assigned "Black" color. Below are described the qualities of all the three type of people.

Qualities of people with "WHITE" color mind: These Saintly, Sattvic type of persons are normally calm, balanced in their nature. They generally do good to others & are selfless, un-egoistic persons. They generally give alms to the poor & never hurt anybody even with their speech. They are never angry with anybody & are always at peace with themselves. They never hanker after or are greedy of the material things of this world. They love everybody & everyone respect, love them.

Qualities of people with "RED" color mind: These type of people are passionate, impulsive, type of persons. They are generally bold and aggressive in their nature. They want to enjoy every type of food & want to enjoy all the physical pleasures of this world. They are at times very much angry in their nature. They have a greed to accumulate more money & material things in life. They think of themselves before others. They do all their actions most passionately.

Qualities of people with "BLACK" color mind: These type of people are lazy, egoistic, indolent type of persons. They enjoy more pleasure in sleep. They do their actions without thinking of what consequence it shall have. They generally have morbid thinking which is very harmful to their personality. These type of people live in ignorance & delusion only. Sometimes their morbid nature leads them to madness. In fact people with mind of black color believe that, whatever, wrong they are doing is right, while it is their perverted thinking only which makes them do wrong only, the consequence of which is misery only in their lives.

Now below is what Bhagwat Gita says about all such three type of people:

As per Bhagwat Gita, your nature in this material world are due to 3 qualities of Nature & those are "Sattva, Rajas & Tamas". Due to these three qualities of Nature only, one enjoys Joy & also suffer Pain in this life. In effect Nature is of dual characteristics & "Good & Bad", "Joy & Pain" etc. are both due to dual characteristics of this nature. The living entity in material nature enjoys the three modes of nature & it is due to his association with that material nature only that he meets with good and evil consequences in his/her lifetime. Now here below are the Bhagwat Gita verses which details about the three modes of nature and how an individual gets involved with these three modes of nature & enjoys happiness & suffers pain. Basically it explains Cause and Effect in Nature.

In Bhagwat Gita Lord Sri Krishna says to Arjuna :

"sattvam rajas tama iti
Gunnah prakriti-sambhavah
nibadhnanti maha-baho
dehe dehinam avyayam" - (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fourteen verse 5)

"Material nature consists of three modes—Goodness, Passion and Ignorance (Sattva, Rajas & Tamas). When an individual living entity comes in contact with nature, he becomes conditioned by these three modes."

"tatra sattvam nirmalatvat
prakasakam anamayam
sukha-sangena badhnati
jnana-sangena chanagha" - (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fourteen verse 6)

"The mode of Goodness, being purer than the other two, is illuminating, and it frees one from all sinful reactions. Those situated in that mode become conditioned by a sense of happiness and knowledge."

"rajo ragatmakam viddhi
trsna-sanga-samudbhavam
tan nibadhnati kaunteya
karma-sangena dehinam" - (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fourteen verse 7)

"The mode of Passion is born of unlimited desires and longings, and because of this, the embodied living entity is bound to material fruit producing actions."

"tamas tv ajnana-jam viddhi
mohanam sarva-dehinam
pramadalasya-nidrabhis
tan nibadhnati bharata" - (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fourteen verse 8)

"Know that the mode of Darkness, born of ignorance, is the delusion of all
embodied living entities. The results of this mode are madness, indolence and sleep, which bind the conditioned soul."

"sattvam sukhe sanjayati
rajah karmani bharata
jnanam avrtya tu tamah
pramade sanjayaty uta" - (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fourteen verse 9)

"The mode of Goodness conditions one to happiness; Passion conditions one to fruit producing action & pain; and Ignorance, covering one’s knowledge, binds one to madness."

Now you have to see that in which of the above said modes of nature you are established. If you are doing good Karmas, helping others, living a pure life, having devotion to God, doing acts of sacrifice, charity etc. then you are living a Sattvic life & it frees one from all sinful reactions & gives a life of happiness.

If you live a passionate (Rajasic) life, addicted to sensuous pleasures of life then it shall give pain in life (physical & mental later on). Though sensuous pleasures look good at the time of it's enjoyment but ultimately it's consequence is pain only & it leads one to all painful reactions .

If you lead a lazy life, enjoys happiness in sleep, indolence etc. & are egoistic, avoid doing your duty; then you are living in delusion. All this arises of the nature of ignorance & in this case you are leading a Tamasic life. Such a life gives pain only always & lead one to utter delusion before & after.

So its all, what type of life you live & what type of Karmas you do. Sattvic life shall lead you to happiness only while Rajasic life shall lead you to Pain & Suffering while Tamasic life shall lead you to utter delusion & shall ruin your life. Choice is yours, which type of life you want to live. Now just check also the color of your mind.

Invisible Santa Claus

Santa Claus also known as Saint Nicholas is the legendary and mythical figure who brings gifts to the homes of children on the Christmas Eve. Have you known any such Santa Claus who fulfills your desires every now & then? We all have experienced in our lives that sometimes our wishes are fulfilled by some invisible force & we all have felt the presence of that invisible force in our lives. In fact God is always present within us & all around us. In our heart He is sitting in the "Antaryami" aspect. "Antaryami means the one who can observe & know every thing of your heart without you being explaining anything to Him. So God is called Antaryami as we need not explain to Him about any of our problems. In this aspect He is Antaryami & He knows what we want."

So God who is always with you & is always sitting in your heart, fulfills all your desires but we are never thankful to Him. From the God, whatever, is asked for, God provides that to his devotees. God is so kind that he provides everything to his devotee even without being asked for. If you have firm faith in God & your wish is pure then God shall certainly fulfill that wish of yours.

All around the world, people in temples, churches, mosques, synagogues beg & pray to God that O! God, "Give us, give us", and the Great Giver gives His Gifts to His devotees in an Invisible Santa Claus way. The Great Giver, the Lord, keeps on giving, while those who receive grow weary of receiving.

In Bhagwat Gita God too assures:

"ananyas cintayanto mam
ye janah paryupasate
tesham nityabhiyuktanam
yoga-ksemam vahamy aham" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Nine verse 22)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: But those who always worship Me with exclusive devotion, meditating on My transcendental form—to them I give what they lack in life, and I protect what they have."

So Lets be thankful to God, whatever, we have received in our life from Him.

Rented Apartments of God

Whenever you take a house or an apartment on rent then you know that it is not your house & one day you shall have to vacate this, whenever, owner asks you to vacate this or you yourself make up your mind to leave it. That rented house is only for the time being & one day, some way or the other, you have to leave this. Meanwhile till you live in the rented house you pay the rent & same is the case with our body that we need to give our body regular food, breathing air etc. as rent to survive this. Similarly our body which is a gift of God is also just like that rented apartment in which we live during this life time & ultimately at death we need to leave it. Neither this body was ours before the birth, nor it shall be yours after it's death. As per Bhagwat Gita, Soul (Jeeva) which is a traveler in this universe moves from one body to the other.

"a-brahm-bhuvanan loka
punara vartino ajuna
mam upetya tu kauntey
punara janm na vidhyate" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter VIII verse 16)

"From the highest planet of Brahm Loka in the material world down to the lowest world, all are places of misery wherein a person's Soul (Jeeva) comes in repeated birth and death from time to time. But one who attains to to Me (God), O Arjuna, never takes birth again."

We all know that this body of ours shall perish or die in future & our soul shall leave this body apartment. But as per 'Bhagwat Gita', we in essence are different than this body & we in essence are that indestructible 'Soul. This 'Soul' is there in our body, different than the body, even when we are living right now. As per 'Bhagwat Gita -Chapter Two Verse - 22', our body is like our clothes that we wear on our body & after death these worn out clothes are dropped by the embodied soul . You in essence are a 'Soul' & this 'Soul' of yours shall wear another body (read, shall wear another pair of clothes) after death. So this eternal Soul which is indestructible, changes its present embodied form for another embodied form, when the physical body perishes.

So, your soul which is living in this body temple, shall leave it when this body shall be worn out. Till then you shall have to give it food etc. as rent & the day you stop giving it rent of food, air etc. you shall have to leave this body. Otherwise also the actual houses or homes of yours in which you live at present are all part & parcel of God's creation & you need to vacate this at death. So let's always remember that we all are living temporarily on this earth for a short period & one day we shall have to go leaving all this. So let's not get attached much to our relations & property etc. & devote more time in the service of God.

Glory of the Lord

Sri Venkateshwara or Balaji, is a form of the Lord Vishnu only. Sri Krishna is also an Avatar of Lord Vishnu. So Sri Krishna, Lord Vishnu or Sri Venkateshwara or Balaji are one & the same God. As per the Hindu scriptures, Lord Vishnu, out of love towards his devotees, incarnated as Sri Venkateshwara and appeared for the salvation and upliftment of humanity in this Kali Yuga (dark age) and is considered the supreme form of Vishnu in this age. Meaning of Lord Venkateshwara is the one Supreme Lord who destroys sins.

Lord Venkateshwara is famous for being the most-visited shrine in the world and its prime deity for being the richest God in the world. This temple is in the town of Chittor District of Andhra Pradesh in India & is located in the foot hills of Tirumala. It is around 140 km from Chennai and 740 km from Hyderabad city in India.

The ancient and sacred temple of Sri Venkateswara is located on the seventh peak, Venkatadri Hills on the southern banks of Sri Swami Pushkarini & because of this reason only Lord Balaji has been named Venkateswara. The Greatness & opulence of Lord Balaji, the Preserver of the Whole Universe, is reflected in his richly ornamented life-size idol in the Tirumala Tirupati temple.

In the temple the black idol of Lord Balaji is covered in gold, jewellery and precious ornaments and its height is 2 meters. The sacred shrine is visited by millions of devotees from far and wide and has been worshipped consistently since the past thirteen years. Every year more than 12 million people visit this temple from within India and the world. Every year the temple receives around Indian Rs 10 Billion ( More than 200 Million US$) in offerings from the devotees.

Recently as per one report in TOI:

"Not less than seven magnificent crowns make up for the jewellery kitty of Lord Venkateswara, including 11 tonnes of gold, ornaments and other precious jewels. But, what is bothering the priests and Vedic pundits is the overweight of the offerings, particularly the crowns.

A temple priest said the 8-ft Moola Viraat (the principal idol of the Lord) is adorned by not less than 60-70 kg of gold ornaments on any given day."

So that is the Glory of Lord Venkateshwara.

My Random Thoughts - 4

Below are few of my random thoughts which I have posted recently on Twitter . I post these small thoughts regularly on Twitter , however, I shall compile & post it over here too regularly after few days of posting on Twitter :

Dreams are nothing but imagining & creating "Life like Movies" in Sleep by your Mind, out of your thoughts...........

Radiance in Sun & Fire are direct manifestations of God which we can actually feel & experiance..........

You remain so happy seeing the life on this earth but have you ever imagined how life is on other earths in other universes created by GOD?..........

Love is the need of every Human Being & it's Good but Infatuation is detrimental to one's health, mind & soul............

Even if God is realized then also Life goes on as usual as attaining God is nothing but knowing Your True Self..............

Even after knowing your True Self you shall have to do your duties as without that you cannot live your life..............

Why we Shout when we are angry?

Today someone sent me an email which explained a beautiful story with a moral which I am reproducing over here. It's so good. So below is the story........

A saint asked his disciples, 'Why do we shout in anger?
Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?”
Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, 'Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.”
'But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?' asked the saint.
'Isn't it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice?
Why do you shout at a person when you're angry?'
Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.
Finally he explained, 'When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot.
To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other.
The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.'
Then the saint asked, 'What happens when two people fall in love? They don't shout at each other but talk softly, why?
Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small...'
The saint continued, 'When they love each other even more, what happens?
They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love.
Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that's all.
That is how close two people are when they love each other.'

MORAL: When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other

A Muslim, Christian & Hindu at the Doorstep of God

Once there were three men who were in the search of God. All three were very good friends. One of them was a Hindu, while another one was a Muslim and the third one was a Christian. Hindu used to go to the temple & used to worship his God by doing Puja, Mantra Jaap etc. daily. Similarly the Muslim also used to go to the Mosque & used to do his Namaaz daily, four times a day. Christian too was a very poise man & used to go to the church daily in the morning & evening. He never missed any day when he never prayed to God asking to forgive him if he has done anything wrong in his life.

Days, months & years passed by & these three friends followed continuously, this routine of theirs without fail. They were happy that they were daily praying to their God & living a very poise life. One day while they were discussing the religious matters, Hindu asked the others two, whether they have seen their God. To this they replied that though they are worshipping their God in their own way daily but all these are only prayers to their God & they have never seen their God. Same question Muslim & the Christian asked the Hindu to which he too gave the same answer that though he is worshipping his God with his rituals daily but all these are only age old rituals, prayers & Mantra Jaap etc. & he too has never seen the God.

After this discussion all the three decided that they should do something by which they are able to see the God. They had heard about a wise man who was a real seer & mystic & people used to say that he is the real learned man & he has seen the God. They went to that learned man & showed their respect to him & asked him to train them in his own way so that they were able to see the God just like he has seen.

All three became his disciples. The learned man told the three that doing daily worship to God is good but that can give a person just peace of mind. In this way a person cannot see the God. He told the three that God is just sitting in their heart & the doorstep to the way to God is just between their eyebrows & just above the nose. This is the doorstep of God & if a person meditates regularly while closing his eyes & fixing the mind at that point then they can see the light of God inside their self only.

The three started meditating at the point between their eyebrows daily & their meditation went on deep & strong day by day. One day they saw the divine light within their body. That light was so peaceful & full of bliss. Now they were able to talk daily to God while in meditation. So what the three could not achieve while doing daily rituals of their religions, they were easily able to achieve just by meditating & finding the God within their body only. In Bhagwat Gita also God clearly tells that:

"ishvarah sarva-bhutanam
hrd-dese ’rjuna tishthati......

The Lord / Supreme God resides in the heart of all beings....O Arjuna

My Random Thoughts - 3

Below are few of my random thoughts which I have posted recently on Twitter . I post these small thoughts regularly on Twitter , however, I shall compile & post it over here too regularly after few days of posting on Twitter :

We all live in the rented apartments of God & at death He shall ask us to vacate these & go..............

Happiness & Sadness both happen to human mind & human Soul is just a witness, mute spectator of such moods.............

Most essentials of humans - Water, Air, Earth, Fire & Space, all are basic creations of God...............

Devotional songs or Bhazans are STRESS-BUSTERS. These relieve your mind of tension & give peace. Try it.............

What do you do when inspite of having all the knowledge you feel dejected & depressed? Strange are the ways of mind & it's moods..............

Loving God in Manifest form (Rama, Krishna, Shiva, Jesus etc.) is much easier than Unmanifest aspect..............

Sun & the 'Water Pots'

Just before the dawn, all around in the sky there is darkness but the end of night is just about to come. Then slowly Sun starts emerging & it dispels the darkness into light. Sun is also the source of energy to this world. Though Sun is 150 Million Kms from the earth but still it's rays & energy nurtures our earth just like a mother feeds her children. Sunlight is also the rich source of Vitamin-D which is essential for our body.

In Hinduism Sun is considered as a God. It is also called Surya (सूर्य, sūrya, lit "the Supreme Light"). He is worshiped in different names, chiefly as Surya Narayana, Bhaskara, Aditya, Ravi, Mitra, Bhanu etc. Many Hindus start their day with Sun worship. Even there is a temple dedicated to the Sun God at Puri in Orissa state of India. Sun God or Surya is considered as the only visible form of God that can be seen every day by us. Symbol of Sun or Surya is regarded as one of the auspicious signs for the Hindus & people place the sign of the Sun over main doors as they think it would bring them good luck.

Supreme God "Lord Krishna" Himself declares in Bhagwat-Gita that in one of it's forms He himself is there as "Sun God" which is sustaining this whole world.

"yada aditya-gatam tejo
jagad bhasayate ’khilam
yac chandramasi yac chagnau
tat tejo viddhi mamakam" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Fifteen verse 12)

"Sri Krishna said: O Arjuna, The splendor of the Sun, which dissipates the darkness of this whole world, comes from Me. And the splendor of the moon and the splendor of fire are also from Me."

"adityanam aham vishnur
jyotisam ravir amsuman
maricir marutam asmi
nakshatranam aham sasi" (Bhagwat Gita: Chapter Ten verse 21)

"Sri Krishna said to Arjuna: Of the Adityas I am Vishnu, of Lights I am the Radiant Sun, of the Maruts I am Marici, and among the stars I am the moon."

Now here is, how the Sun is considered in philosophy to understand the Atman or Individual Soul. In reality the Sun, Sunshine and Sun's reflection are one but also the different. All-pervading sunshine is non-different from the sun. Both are heat and light, yet the Sun retains its form and identity as the source of everything.

Now just take the numerous "Pots filled with water" & put these below the bright noon Sun. Reflection of the Sun can be seen in all the pots & it appears that individual Sun is appearing in each pot. Not only that, water of each pot gets heated equally when Sun is reflected in the water pots. Now just as the Sun may be reflected in numerous pots of water, so the same one God is reflected in the hearts of all living beings as the Antaryami. Same Sun may shine in it's reflections on water kept in different pots but the different reflections are only apparent -'reflections' of the Sun, the real Sun is only one. Similarly there is one True Universal Self or God who is eternally pure, eternally perfect, unchangeable, unchanged; as it has never changed; and all these changes in the universe are but appearances in that one Universal Self.

This Sun appearing in different water pots analogy tells us many other things. Now just see that as long as the water exists in the pot, Sun's reflection is seen in the water pots but as long as pots are emptied of the water in it, Sun's reflection disappears. Similarly our body is like the earthen pot in which "Mind" is like the water in the pot & in this "Mind", Atman or Self's reflection gives life to this body. Now as long as the mind of a person exists in the body (pot), the image of the God or true Self (Sun) appears in this body & keeps itself alive. Now the very moment Body (pot) is emptied of "Mind", the death of a person happens & the true Soul which is the reflection of the "Universal Self" goes back to Him, just like the image of Sun in the 'Water Pot' goes back into the Sun when Pot is emptied of Water.

Faith

Do you know that all the black money transactions in this world happens on Faith? One person transacts such money & gives such money to the other person just on Good Faith without any legal documentation. Just see how this "Satta Bazaar" (Illegal Betting market) works. In India during Cricket matches & Elections this "Satta Bazaar" becomes very active & people put huge bets on the outcome of such events. Now just see how the money transaction takes place in such illegal bets. As no legal documented receipts can be given or taken in such a transaction so all such illegal business takes place on FAITH. One person gives the bet money to such an operator & if the outcome of the event happens in that person's favor then Satta operator gives the multiplied money to the winner as per the agreement. But all this transaction happens just on FAITH.

Similar one is the "Havala" market in which black money is transferred from one party to the other one (mostly in the other country) just on Good Faith & no documented legal transaction takes place. In such a case, a person gives money to the operator just on Faith to be given abroad & the operator sends the money abroad in turn. Interestingly all such illegal business happens on Faith in such a perfection that all the transactions are honored honestly & no defaults are there. Satta Bazaar too operates in all honesty that all such transactions on Faith are honored very immaculately as otherwise next time no one shall come to the operator & whole such business shall stop. In normal business also all black money transactions happen only such way, just on Good Faith.

Now just see that we humans can put Faith on all such types of people (of good & bad character) in business or people who deal in all such illegal transactions like Satta & Havala. But if a saint tells you that God is just sitting in your heart, you may not have that complete Faith in his words. If a saint tells you that God is almighty & is present everywhere in this world & even all around you, then you may not have that complete Faith in his words. If scriptures tell you that God has created all this world then you may not have that complete Faith in it. How is it that people can put Faith in people of such repute who does illegal business but not in the words of a saint?

Faith is the one which makes our perceptions & beliefs. If you have Faith in & believe in religious scriptures, words of a saint, then you shall be able to turn toward the God. It's Faith only which determines how you can mould your life. It shall be Good if you have Faith in the words of a saint or in religious books than you have Faith in people who indulge in gambling, betting etc. Choice is yours!!!!!

My Random Thoughts - 1

Below are few of my random thoughts which I have posted recently on Twitter . I post these small thoughts regularly on Twitter , however, I shall compile & post it over here too regularly after few days of posting on Twitter :

There is virtue in God's Name......Chant it daily.

When thoughts start subsiding in mind & mind becomes still, free of thoughts, then come the state called PEACE

Love is Universal.....Infatuation is to an object or person......Love expands......Infatuation is binding

As Your Soul is present everywhere in the universe so at death it's your mind having all your memories, tastes & thoughts leaves the body...

All work & enjoyment in life is good......but thinking about the purpose of life is the most important........

Divine is present everywhere, even all around you just now where you are..........Just feel His presence.....

When God walks by your side

In Bhagwat Gita Lord Krishna has given a promise that He is always with His devotees. Whosoever, worships Him with true heart, He is always with that person. But it is our mind only that is not having complete faith in Him & His powers. We do not actually know how resourceful & powerful God is & that He can take care of all of our problems. It's only that we should have unswerving faith in Him. If we do have such faith in Him & always think of Him, pray Him, then there is no chance that He shall not be with you always & in times of your adversity. Recently I was listening to a devotional song / bhazan by Sh. Vinod Aggarwal Ji in which he was describing about the story of a person, who wanted to test his faith in God - Lord Krishna, whether or not God is always with him. Story goes like this:

Once there was a devotee of Lord Krishna who always used to have faith in the powers of the God & always used to pray Him in his mind. That person was very rich. That person prayed to God & asked the God that I love you, pray you, adore you so much but how come I am to know that You are with me & shall protect me in all circumstances.

God told him, "You see, you daily goes for a morning walk by the bank of the river. Now onwards I shall walk by your side, whenever, you shall go for the morning walk."

Next day that person went for the morning walk but could not see anybody over there. When he came back from the morning walk, he started complaining to God, "As promised, You have not come to my side when I went for the morning walk. God, I could not see You during my morning walk."

God said to him, "I have come during your morning walk but with these eyes you could not see Me".

Devotee, "O God, then how am I to know that You are with me?"

God said to him, " See, whenever you walk by the side of the river, you normally see only two footsteps of yours. Now ,whenever, you see four footsteps instead of two, just think that I am walking by you."

It started happening that way only & that person always saw four footsteps & felt happy & confident that God is with him & walking by him.

Life is the name of change. Now the times changed & with the quirk of fate, somehow that person lost his wealth & got poor. When the wealth was gone, all his near & dear ones turned their faces away from that person. He started to feel very lonely but was confident that in all these times of adversity, though all his near & dear ones, friends & relatives have left him but at least his revered God-Lord Krishna is with him. That person still used to go for the morning walk. But surprisingly during these times of adversity he again started seeing only two footsteps instead of four, during his walk by the river. Now that person was very surprised that his revered, lovable God too has left him during the adverse times. He started regretting & crying but ultimately said in his mind, "Let it be the will of God, what he can do?"

Life for that man went on like that only & with time, again his times changed & he once again became rich & prosperous. But now when he went to the morning walk by the side of the river he again started seeing four footsteps instead of two. Now he got impatient & complained to God that this is not fair.

He said to God, "It's all right that in my adverse times all my near & dear ones had left me but how come that You too, who always promised me to be with me, too had left me in my adverse times. God, how come that You leave your devotee in his bad times?"

Now God could not keep His silence & told that person, "O My Dear one, in your times of adversity the two footsteps that you saw were not yours but these were of Him."
That man said, "How can it be that those footsteps were Yours & not mine?"

God said, "O My Dear one, in your times of adversity, YOU WERE IN MY LAP & I ALWAYS WALKED TAKING YOU IN MY LAP ONLY. In such a condition how can your footsteps be there on the bank of the river. Those two footsteps in your adverse times were mine only. Now your good time has come so now once again I shall be separate from you & shall always walk by your side."
Jai Sri Krishna

My Random Thoughts

Below are few of my random thoughts which I have posted recently on Twitter . I post these small thoughts regularly on Twitter , however, I shall compile & post it over here too regularly after few days of posting on Twitter :

Those who lived by the sword were perished by the sword; Those who lived by Divine Conciousness were survived by Divine Conciousness.

Chanting God's name produces potent vibrations which cleans & purify your living area & surroundings.

You cannot think of your Inner Self until you are alone......

Your true self, Soul is present everywhere in the world, your body only travels from one place to other, while your soul is already there.

Your mind only leaves one body & enters another, moves from one planet to another, Your soul is stationary & Omnipresent.

Zero (Shunya) is the source of all the creation, from Zero came everything & shall go back again into it. Zero aspect of God is interesting.
